On Quantico Season 2 Episode 16, Nimah manages to find someone who accessed the cache before they actually had the chance to do something with the information. The team can get ahead of the game, for once.
Rebecca Sherman is a socialite, and the person who looked up vulnerabilities in New York passport control. She's also connected to the two known collaborators. Ryan throws out a theory that Rebecca is the person who connects all the collaborators.
In order to get close to Rebecca, Clay is going to have to use his fiancé, Maxine, and their wedding coming up, which he isn't a fan of. Having to lie to Max isn't easy for hi, and it doesn't get any better when she realizes that the meeting with Rebecca is all so Clay can do some digging.
When Rebecca discovers Clay at her computer, she's relieved. She is afraid that the collaborators will kill her, so she accessed the cache to try to find a way to successfully use fake passports for her and her husband, so they could leave the country.
Rebecca identifies Thomas Roth, a bigwig attorney, as one of the collaborators. She sets up a meet, hoping that he can give her (and the task force) the names of other collaborators. A sniper had other ideas.
Rebecca and Thomas are killed, and while the rest of the team heads to the van to get out of dodge before the police show up, Harry follows the sniper. It's Sebastian.
With a gun to Harry's head, Sebastian makes Harry call Alex and tell her that he cannot be a part of the task force.
Meanwhile, Sasha's story about the Ponzi scheme, aka the task force's first mission, is published, prompting Clay to warn the team that this better be a coincident and not a leak.
It doesn't take long before Nimah figures out that Ryan was the one who leaked the story. She urges him to find something on Sasha to compromise her, thus getting him out of a compromising situation.
