Maya is emotional because of her hormones and worries she may pass things down to their baby. Carina reminds her to breathe as they take care of Liam and Carina goes over what she's saying at the depositoin of the woman suing her over her daughter having cerebal palsy.

The deposition already starts off intense.

Vic seems to be doing well when Travis checks in with her.

Beckett, Warren, and Travis are goofing off and competing against each other running drills as Warren takes the lead because of his Testosterone.

Theo brings a patient in needing assistance and his partner Dante keeps flirting with Travis. They are treating Paula off the books and Dante keeps commenting on how Theo operates outside the rules and must've gotten in from them.

The rest of the squad respond to smoke at a park and run into the Tulalip tribe doing a smoke ceremony. They have to present a permit afte some time and tension but they were called because of a gender reveal party that may cause a fire.

Maya is supposed to be canvassing a neighhborhood but drops in on the house where her brother lives with all of his bigoted freinds. She tries to talk to him and understand what's happening.

He essentailly feels like she abandoned him and left him with their father and how their parents only poured thins into her Olympic career. He feels like these men are his brothers and family and that he finally belongs and tells her that she doesn't know him anymore.

She tells him that he can move in with her so he can know what family really is.

Dante and Theo get stuck at the station qith Paula, the construction worker offbook patient when the others get a call.

The gender reveal fire leads to an explosion.

Carina is getting hammered during the deposition as they want to get her to say that she should've done something different.

When they take a break and she's in the bathroom she overhears Wendy, the mother, on a phone call trying to arrange treatment for her daughter. Wendy has words for her about her daughter losing if Carina wins. When they get back, Carina says she's leaving and that everyone loses. She gives her informationto Wendy and tells her she'll help her if she calls.

Maya tries to reason and talk to Mason. When he wonders why she's so invested in why he was protesting at pride, she tells him that they're her community and that she's bisexual and has a wife.

He says hateful things to her. And she eventually tells him that he's like their father, maybe even worse because he should know better and that she can't save him and doesn't want him in her life to tarnish the beautiful life she has.

The tribe respects Andy for what she did assisting them and invite her into a tribal ceremony to honor her.

They all head out to Joe's to celebrate after the shift. Dante and Travis flirt and play darts. Travis talks about Michael.

Theo goes to talk to Vic. He's glad to have her back to herself and apologizes to her and talks about missing her.

Ben talks to Bailey about taking T and she says she already knew.

We're treated to a montage of Maya and Carina, Natasha and Sullivan, Bailey and Ben, and Theo and Vic having sex.

They all later come up with an idea of how they can address the budget issues by having Crisis One get funded through grants and things. They all brainstorm and reach out to contacts.
