Nia has a dream about her mother. Nyxly crashes Nia's dream. 

Kara, Alex, Kelly, Nia, and J'onn gather for a game night. Kelly tells them about an orphaned alien boy -- Joey -- with EMP powers she will be working with.

Andrea wants Kara, Nia, and William to find ways to interview the Super Friends. Andrea sends Nia home for a mental health day when she falls asleep. 

Andrea gives Kara and William a twenty-four-hour deadline for an interview with a Super Friend.

Kara and J'onn respond to a series of truck robberies. They believe that an Obscuran and a Metalomite are working together to build a bomb.

Kelly goes to Joey's foster home. His foster mom tells her that he started acting out after his monthly visit to his brother -- Orlando -- in prison.

Joey tells Kelly that there's something wrong with his brother. He thinks he's using his powers too much in his work-release program.

Nia tries to reach her mom in her dream. Nyxly returns and tells Nia that she's stuck in her dreams. She lies to Nia that she was banished and stripped of her powers.

Nyxly tells Nia that if she helps her escape, then she can help her by bringing her mother back to life for one day.

At Van Kull prison, Kara and Kelly meet with the warden to talk about Orlando and his work-release program. He promises to check in with him.

Kara tracks Orlando on his way to his job. She finds out that he and the other aliens are being forced to steal against their will. They are linked to the earlier truck robberies.

Kara and J'onn try to stop them, but they escape. The warden holds a press conference to make it look like the prisoners planned the escape and took a guard hostage. 

Kara brings her findings to the warden. He promises her that he'll do a full internal investigation when they find the escapees.

Nia goes back into her dream and turns down Nyxly's offer. 

Kara and William uncover that the warden has a secret offshore bank account with a large sum of money. They believe the mob is influencing him.

The warden calls the guard, and the guard tells him that the alien workers will be dead soon.

Kelly gets video evidence of Joey's foster mom abusing him with his power-dampening cuffs.

Alex finds out where the alien workers are being held. Kara and J'onn go to the warehouse and take down the guards.

Kara frees the aliens of their power-dampening cuffs. They try to get away, but Kara convinces them to come with her and J'onn.

The warden and guards are arrested. William gets an exclusive interview with Supergirl.

Kelly reunites Joey and Orlando. A judge pardoned Orlando.

Kelly tells Alex that she wants to be the new Guardian. Alex gives Kelly the Guardian helmet. James sent it for her.

Nia goes back to her dream and accepts Nyxly's deal.
