Sam does some research and discovers a possible alternative to take down the Darkness.

Apparently, God touched certain items that give them the power of God.

One such item was recovered by a Woman of Letters, but it was lost when the submarine she was on went down during World War II.

Dean goes back in time with the help of Lucifer, who they think is Castiel.

Dean manages to get the item, but the Nazis are preparing to destroy the submarine.

Delphine uses the hand of God to destroy the Nazi ship, and Lucifer manages to bring back Dean.

However, Lucifer reveals the truth to Sam. Castiel prevents Lucifer from killing Sam.

Lucifer gets the weapon but learns it is useless.

Sam expels Lucifer from the bunker before he attacks Dean.

Sam and Dean try to think of what to do next.
