Recap

Becky is doing her steps and has lunch with Mickey to apologize for lying to him and to tell him the truth about her life. She's nervous, but he completely understands. Mikey even offers to be Becky's date at the wedding so he can be her support system on what might be a difficult day.

Becky tells Mikey she wants to have sex with him so she can get her first time sober out of the way. He agrees. They go back to his hotel room and have sex.

Afterward, Mikey admits he's had a huge crush on Becky in high school and still does. Becky panics. She says she never would have had sex with him if she knew he had feelings for her. She's not ready for a relationship.

Darlene comes clean with Pastor Phil about what she saw in her mother's Bible that made her run out of church. He encourages her to talk to someone in her family about how she's feeling, so Darlene decides to turn to Louise.

Darlene offers to help Louise plan her wedding but then starts to take over. Darlene pushes for things she wanted at her own wedding, like a black wedding dress and a vegan menu. Louise ends up telling Darlene she's already picked out a dress but then secretly goes dress shopping with Harris and Mark.

When Darlene sees Harris posting about the dress shopping on Instagram, she goes down to the shop and tells Louise off for lying to her.

Later, Louise wants to talk it out, but Darlene is still angry. Dan points out that Darlene is angry because Louise didn't want to do the things that Darlene wanted at her own wedding, but Darlene isn't the one getting married.

Darlene realizes that she's upset because she's still processing that she and Ben aren't getting married. She apologizes to Louise and points out that, since her Mom isn't around, she was hoping to get closer to Louise so she could share all of her toxic baggage. Louise says she'd be happy to listen and share her own toxic baggage with Darlene.

The Conners Season 4 Episode 3 Quotes

Pastor Phil: I never had a runner before. I made it work for me. When you left I told the congregation that when you came in you weren't able to walk, so Hallelujah!
Darlene: The real miracle is that you got me into church at all. I hope they got you like a Red Robin gift card or something for that.

When you were little it was so cute when you fought. Now it's just two bitter old spinsters going at it.
