The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 4 revolves around potential amputations and complicated relationships.

When a man comes into the hospital with a severed foot, Park can't do anything until the foot is recovered -- it's at the bottom of the lake where the accident occurred. Jordan and Perez bicker over whether the foot will ever be found and go to the beach to check in with the rescue operation. Meanwhile, Park does the best he can to buy time, but the patient begins bleeding; amputation might be the only option.

Elsewhere, Shaun and Powell work with a guy who injured himself with fireworks while reenacting a military scene. During the procedure, an unexploded firework goes off, destroying the man's artery. Shaun, Powell, and Asher struggle to find an appropriate treatment other than amputating the man's arm.

Shaun is also still dealing with the fallout from Lim's paralysis. He claims not to care that Lim wants nothing to do with him, but is deeply affected when Glassman accuses him of being immature because Shaun sees no reason for anyone to be angry when he saved Lim's life.
