Recap

It's London 2075, and the world is in ruins.

Young Wilf (who still goes by Wolf) and Young Aelita live on the streets inside an old bus.

He sees a med tent and investigates, but it's a mirage of people looking to scoop kids off the streets.

They both get taken.

In 2099, Wild and Lev discuss the likelihood of Aelita being alive without her implant, which boosts her immunity.

In Clanton, Flynne notices some irregularities in her health and thinks it's from what happens in The Peripheral.

Tommy, the deputy sheriff, comes in plain clothes to check in on the Fishers. Kind of in a threatening way.

Flynne and Burton have another argument about what's going on, and why lying to Tommy is important.

Flynne starts yelling at Burton, which then causes a black eye to appear on her left eye slowly, and then she drops down and has a seizure.

Dr. Nuland creates a robot that looks just like Daniel and that has his personality as well.

Flynne and Burton argue again, this time about her health.

Burton tells the doctor more than they should, and she recommends they don't use the sim again.

The doctor, Tommy's wife, Deedee, wants them to send her the contact info.

Burton finally apologizes to Flynne, but she forgives him quickly because of the experiences she's gotten to do.

Burton grapples with his friends about wanting to go into the sim. Connor seems to want to go in.

In the future, Wilf has an interesting experience while Lev gets approached by Dr. Nuland in his home.

They discuss Aelita.

She threatens him subtly, but he picks up on it.

While Ash is doing the Peripheral Flynne's hair, Connor logs in, and makes a mess of things by running around and throwing a chair through a window.

They log him out of the sim remotely, and he wants to be sent back in.

Flynne is still watching home movies when she sees Wilf approach her.

Wilf and Flynne discuss the home movie sim.

Flynne does not realize Aelita is Wilf's sister.

He informs Flynne about Connor's visit.

He promises Flynne that they won't make her return to the peripheral unless they can prove it's safe.

He tells her Aelita is his sister.

Wilf tells Lev that the family he sent back (confusing), was killed (thanks to Flynne letting him know).

Lev reveals that they test stuff on humans in the past, like drugs for medical advancement.

Lev reveals that he killed his own family.

Wilf is not trusting Lev as much anymore.

Flynne is noticing other medical issues, this time involving her hand.

Flynne tells Connor and Burton everything about the white model of the house in the future.

Burton tells her to think of things like a sim instead of like the actual future.

Flynne wants to go back but Burton doesn't want her to.

Flynne logs into the Peripheral despite Burton's wishes, and Ash wants her connection cut, but they are fighting it in 2032.

They log her out successfully from the future, but she manages to get back in.

She wants Ash to tell her the truth about where all the people are.

Ash takes Flynne to a cemetery, and Wilf also arrives.

They call everything "the Jackpot," which is an apocalypse.

There was a hack on the North American electrical grid. Complete blackouts in 2039.

Then a pandemic nicknamed the blood plague in 2041.

Then bio catastrophes that caused agricultural collapses.

Domestic terrorism. Nuclear missile asylum blew up right where Flynne lives.

They log her out of the peripheral.

The Peripheral Season 1 Episode 4 Quotes

Burton: There's a dozen dead bodies out back. It's easy for Tommy to say he's our friend as long as he doesn't know about them. But as soon as he does, he's also gonna remember he's a cop. There's no way around that.
Flynne: Why can't we just tell him what we're telling everyone else? You can't really deny that we need some help right now.

Lev: At the very least, you must guard yourself for the harsh reality of Aelita's death.
Wilf: Why?
Lev: Without the immunity boost of her implant, how long can she last?
