Raniya wants to work. She and Bash have a domestic moment.

Dr. Bishop has to face the board, who will evaluate if he is ready to come back and follow-up on Dr. Novak's accusations. He and Claire discuss.

Mag's patient Shane got beat up for not being able to pay someone back after gambling. He gets double vision, but that was before he got beat up. He hits on Mags. Mags shows concern because he got in a fight, but Dr. Novak mocks her for it. Later, the patient come assaults her, and she has to defend herself untl Lou steps in. They call the police. Dr. Novak and Dr. Atwater are handling it until Dr. Bishop steps in, claiming to be back. Mags meets the wife of the patient who assaulted her who says his behaviour changed suddenly months ago. Mags thinks it might be medical. She uncovers that Shane has a tumor, which changed his behaviour and vision.

Theo is hostile towards Bash about getting his stuff out of the apartment. He eventually tells Bash that Mel left him.

Theo' and Mags handle a patient, Owen, who is in hypothermia after being pulled from Lake Ontario. Dr. Novak and Bash deal with a Olivia, a woman sliced by a boat propeller also pulled from Lake Ontario. Olivia is Own's mom, and she information Bash and Dr. Novak that Owen has SPD (Sensory processing disorder) a neurodivergent disorder making him sensitive to sounds, lights, touch, etc. Theo and Mags have to sedate Own for him to accept blankets.

Dr. Bishop is back to teach and be in charge, but his motor skills are shot so he can't opperate.

Dr. Novak encourages Bash to break protocol again when treating Olivia. Later, he and Bishop disagree, and ask Bash to be the deciding vote. He publically agrees with Bishop, but after Bishop leaves, he sides with Novak. They follow Novak's care, and it works. Dr. Bishop is intially upset, but it proves right. Novak resents Dr. Bishop not telling him he is right and tapping in Mags.

Eli, Oliva's husband, went without oxygen for too long and is braindead. Bash tells Olivia, and together they tell Owen, who wants to keep his dad on life support anyway. He and his mother fight.

June's patient, Mr. Eldridge, is choosing open surgery when laproscopy would be safer and easier. Meanwhile, June tries to learn more about her father's progress.

Amira doesn't want to unpack, and Raniya questions her place in Bash's life.
