Recap

Allie asks Nathan what's happening between him and Elizabeth. She senses a shift but doesn't want him to get hurt again. Nathan assures her that it was a long time ago.

After talking to Toby about the upcoming math quiz, Elizabeth runs into Lucas, who apologizes about Jeanette's mind games. He admits they dated but never engaged.

Nathan sees them talking and assumes the worst, not realizing they are only clearing the air.

Lucas asks Henry for help settling the dispute with Benson Hills. He tells Henry it's not about him; it's about Hope Valley. Lucas begs Henry to help, but Henry has reformed.

Lucas brings Nathan the soup bone for Scout, but he’s curt with her, and she’s confused and hurt.

Mike and Maisy are formal as she lists her requirements for the resort. Some make sense, like a new dump in Benson Hills or a transportation center with buses.

Minnie brings Joseph a letter from Jacob. At first, he seems pleased that his brother wants to visit, but then he is baffled by how he got their address and upset that his brother wants an apology from him, too.

When Bill and Rosemary announce to Nathan that they found new evidence, he's annoyed that she's seen the case files, but Bill insists she's part of the team. Bill shows him the angle of Lucas's wound, which implies that the shooter was nearby, so they need Lucas to remember him.

After the kids took a class, Elizabeth announced a surprise visitor -- Anna had returned from teacher's college to student teach there.

Mei overhears the guys complaining about Maisy and suggests she needs to relax. Lucas thinks Bill should talk to her, but he doesn't want mayoral duties, so they both ambush Lee into being mayor.

When Lee announces this to Rosemary, she's excited about being a political wife and making a difference.

After school lets out, Elizabeth overhears Angela and Cooper talking about their problem. She thinks their dad will understand since they meant well.

Henry talks to Joseph about Lucas needing his help but not wanting to become that person again.

Maisy loves Mei's mud masks and complains about her shoulder pain due to stress. As Mei does acupressure, Maisy opens up that she's the only one against the result, and everyone else in Benson Hills loves it. Then she falls asleep.

Mei tells Mike what she learned and urges him to work things out with his sister.

Nathan keeps avoiding Elizabeth, and Elizabeth asks Rosemary if she'll ever find love again.

While Mike tells the other men that Maisy is purposely sabotaging stuff, Lucas ensures that Henry overhears and wants his input. He has an idea and agrees to meet with them the next day.

Lucas challenges Nathan to a game of darts, and gets annoyed when the entire town knows of his business with Jeanette. He assures Nathan that he and Elizabeth are only friends now.

When Joseph arrives home that night, the kids confess they wrote Jacob that letter because they listened to what he said about siblings fighting, and they don't want him to wait too long either. Joseph assures the kids he's not mad.

Opal made a drawing of the new resort. Elizabeth thinks she could be an architect and promises to take it to Lucas.

Lucas joins the meeting with Maisy. Henry tells her they'll accept her terms and suggests merging the towns and having co-mayors. She won't let them talk, so she's shocked when they announce Lee is now the mayor, who taunts he's delighted to work with her.

Just as Elizabeth and Nathan begin talking, they're interrupted by an emergency town hall meeting about this issue.

Lucas explains the problem. No one is happy, especially when he announces that the school will be part of the Valley School district, but if they don't, the resort will go elsewhere.

Elizabeth wonders if it might work if it's essential to Lucas, and Lee agrees.

Maisy isn't happy about this deal, especially if Mike's not the mayor, and she storms out. The men still celebrate the win. Elizabeth visits Lucas later to give him Opal's drawing and cement their friendship.

Minnie talks to Joseph about reconciling with his brother, saying the kids meant well. Lucas remembers touching the gun after seeing a photo of it that Bill and Rosemary showed him.

Elizabeth visits Nathan, telling him friends don't share those smoldering looks.
