Recap

Wynonna, Waverly, and Jeremy set out to find the demon responsible for leaving two dead bodies behind.

At first, it seems like Doc is a suspect, but Waverly and Jeremy later discover the murderer ate the deceased's brains, ruling Doc out.

It turns out that a man named Doug has been using trivia night, which the entire town is obsessed with, to find the smartest people in town and eats their brains to gain their intelligence.

Doug is doing this with the help of a genie named Jinni.

Wynonna and Jinni bond, but Doug comes to rescue Jinni and decides to eat Wynonna's brain to get her street smarts.

Before Doug can kill Wynonna, he dies from kuru.

Jinni claims she was a victim and was only doing what her master ordered her to do, but Wynonna realizes Jinni enjoys manipulating men and killing for them.

Wynonna kills Jinni with Peacemaker and sets her free.

Wynonna and Waverly push Nicole to resume her old job as sheriff, but she doesn't want to.

She feels she can't, especially not after the 'chicken kicker' incident.

However, Nicole later realizes that she can't be defined by her past mistakes and after a unanimous vote at Shorty's, she officially becomes the town sheriff again.

Wynonna Earp Season 4 Episode 9 Quotes

Jeremy: He won Shorty’s trivia last week.
Wynonna: Oh my god. Is that tragic?
Jeremy: I mean he was part of the community, our community, not yours. Obviously because you lost.
Wynonna: I know I was eliminated, but how was I supposed to know Toby Maguire isn’t Spiderman anymore?
Jeremy: We all know.

Wynonna: Exactly, so much happens around here, so relax. Go outside. It’s above zero out there. Because right now things are fine. We offed pumpkin head. Amon’s disappeared in the ether. We’re good.
Jeremy: Ah yes, you brought the lattes. Oh no, this isn’t mine.
Waverly: Not your cherry pie that you spilled all over your apron.
Jeremy: Not my cherry pie, but a cherry pie that we need to investigate because whoever’s making these cherry pies is still out there and might bake again.
