I think the secret’s out.
So said Mindy Project producer Matt Warburton yesterday when a number of reporters visited the show’s set and viewed a banner over a door that read: “Happy Wedding Day.”
So, who is getting hitched? Mindy and Casey!
“It’s the premiere, and Mindy comes back from Haiti with some big news,” Warburton said. “Basically in this one episode, we’re trying to have a big move between Mindy and Casey. We didn’t want to start the season, ‘Oh, we’re back from Haiti and that [Casey] guy is gone.’ In the first set of episodes, we’re really playing through this relationship further and seeing where this goes.”
Kaling added that the wedding will be “quick and impromptu” and take place in her apartment.
Of course, as much as fans love actor Anders Holm and his character of Pastor Casey, The Mindy Project centers on the life of an unattached doctor. As such…
“Mindy gets to be single again pretty soon,” Kaling told reporters.
