Who said messing with time was fun?
In the just released teaser trailer for Legends of Tomorrow Season 3, the characters have broken time, and they need to go on a mission to fix it before it's too late.
What that entails is joining carnivals, channeling strong animals and going head-to-head with dinosaurs.
Gulp.
The interesting thing about the whole fixing time thing is that it will serve as a storytelling mechanic.
Fixing time will occur will not happen immediately and will happen “one episode at a time,” EP Marc Guggenheim revealed at the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel.
“We’re not going to fix time immediately. But we will deal with the issue of dinosaurs in Los Angeles.” Yes, there are dinosaurs in Los Angeles, and we're freaking the hell out.
A big villain will be Kuasa, who actually originated from CW Seed's animated series, Vixen. Either the DC CW universe is running out of villains, or the show wants to pay tribute to the hit web series.
Executive producer Phil Klemmer revealed that last season, the team were hard at work fixing aberrations in time, but “now they’re sort of competing with the best and the brightest” in the Time Bureau.
“Rip Hunter has reconstituted with what the Time Masters used to be.”
“I think it’s time for Sara to settle down or at least to have a relationship that’s more than a roll in the hay,” Klemmer said, admitting that “it’s hard when you’re traveling through time” to have a lasting romance.
That said, “It’s definitely been a priority of ours this season to re-establish Sara’s bisexuality,” Guggenheim added.
It was also revealed that Wentworth Miller would return as Captain Cold but Heat Wave is “not going to get the version of his pal that he remembers,” Klemmer shared.
Finally, it was revealed that the producers have had conversations with Matt Ryan to appear as Constantine, but he's currently busy with other projects.
