The Walking Dead Season 7 Trailer: Negan at Bat, King Ezekiel Revealed!!

It's here! The premiere date for the biggest zombie affair of all! The Walking Dead Season 7 will premiere on October 23rd.

The episode, which should reveal the fate of the character being killed off by Negan, will be directed by Greg Nicotero.

Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Ann Hurd, Dave Alpert and Greg Nicotero were all on stage for the panel today.

They were there to reveal a trailer showing some characters who will not be killed by Negan.

In the meantime, they shared some information with the excited, crowded room as the fans waiting in anticipation for the trailer and the rest of the panel participants.

Hurd revealed that their world will really be expanding in the seventh season, including new characters, some even of the non-human variety!

Apparently Kirkman threw the gauntlet when the show took off, writing things into the comics he thought could never appear on the television show.

In return, the show accepted the challenge, and this season some of those impossibilities will be brought to the show.

Nicotero shares that if we think we've seen the characters hit rock bottom, we haven't even come close.

When the trailer was shown, it was revealed there were no hints AT ALL of what's to come for Negan's fated victim.

Instead, the regular cast was revealed in flashbacks and characters new to Season 7 were also introduced.

The first half of the trailer, though, is rough.

While the flashbacks are moving past, Negan's batt dips toward each kneeling character lined up before him as if anointing them.

As for the second half of the trailer, holy moly!!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan eats up the footage he's in as Negan, of course.

There are sand zombies that are hella cool and the reveal of King Ezekiel is over the top incredible.

King Ezekiel will be played by Khary Payton in a series regular role, which will in turn introduce viewers to The Kingdom, over which he keeps watch.

Ezekiel is a former zookeeper who has a pet Tiger named Shiva.

The rest of the cast, including Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira,Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand, Christian Serratos, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan took the stage after the trailer and the panel continued.
