Scrubs: Life After Season Eight

at .

In a miracle move, ABC has taken over Scrubs for its eighth and most likely final season that begins January 8th with "My Jerks."

However, in an interview with The New York Times, the show's creator Mr. Lawrence and its star, Zach Braff, reveal what life may potentially be like for the show after the season.

Though Lawrence will be leaving the show, ABC has the right to renew the show afte rthe season.  If they do, Lawrence envisions it as a "new show" in the way Frasier was to Cheers.  Braff has expressed interest in continuing to do the voiceovers for the show, though, he will no longer star.

Turk: All right, Elliot, at the presentation I was wondering, can I do the ending? Because I really love the ending of our paper.
Elliot: Do you think I'm cut out to be a doctor?
Turk: Okay, fine, you can do the ending. I just want to say, "Thanks, folks! We've been great!"
Elliot: I'm serious. Do you think this is what I really want to do?
Turk: Elliot, I don't know.
Elliot: You can tell me. I can take it.
