Looks like the folks in Las Vegas won't be going through the same cast shake-up as their counterparts in New York.

A couple days after CSI: NY announced that Sela Ward will replace Melina Kanakaredes as lead female detective on that CBS drama, the original CSI has avoided a similar situation.

George Eads has signed a new deal with the network. Terms have not been disclosed, by the actor's rep confirms to TV Guide that the character of Nick Stokes won't be going anywhere for awhile.

Earlier this month, Marg Helgenberger also re-upped with the show.

It will return with new episodes in September.
