To answer the question as it was intended, MerDer's monogamous relationship stands as good a chance, if not greater, of lasting forever than Owenstina's. You don't need a marriage license to enjoy a committed, lasting, loving relationship for a lifetime.
You do need one to call it a marriage, however. This is factual.

Should Mark have told Lexie about his true feelings for her?
Absolutely no....
He belongs to Callie, damn...
Why Shonda can'y understand that???
I love them...

My favorite quotes are:
Mer that says to ALEX THAT HE ISN'T SO SPECIAL ...and MERDER in the elevator scene ,they are so funny...Mer's face is so hilarius!!!!!
My favorite scene are :MER and Derek about the miscarriage .It was an Avid-scene but without doubt Intense.
MER and CRI in the floor of the or and in the floor of the Mer's home absolutely intense and awesome scenes.
Mark and Lexie i don't know, because in this moment i prefer Mark instead to Lexie ,her speak and her crazy moment ,i don't like.
Alex and Bailey that in the or speak about Reed and Bigfoot .They remember their died-friend.
The crowen's marriage has been a bad idea ...so Owen and Cri go all and two from the Dr. Wyatt... the therapy is the solution...

@M.L.House,
OK, let's assume that right now I sign a marriage license to an x person....do I have a marriage? Legally, I'm bounded to a person, does that make me 'married'? If you fall in love, do you have to look to a dictionary to see if you are actually feeling love?
Dictionary/textbook definitions aren't really an issue when it comes to emotional events such as a marriage.
What I meant to say is that the level of commitment is what makes a marriage, not a license or a post it. Not having a textbook definition of what a marriage supposedly is doesn't make M/D's marriage less of one because they don't have the marriage license hanging over their bed.
So, I ask to have an open mind to it. Not everything is just because society (or the dictionary) says it is. :)

@Meghan: How is the Post-It marriage a stand-in for gay marriage?!? Gays around the world are rallying for the exact opposite: they want legal, documented marriage.
@anuflas: Every definition of the word "marriage" you'll ever find involves legal status. Based on your "legal or not" definition, a third grader that gives his girlfriend a promise ring is married.

@rss and rabbit-
I agree. The miscarriage scene was so ANTI-CLIMATIC. I was very dissapointed in the amount of time, well lack there of, they spent on that scene. Stupid teddy and the counselor guy got there stupid kissing scene and that was WAY longer than the miscarriage. Retarded! Kick April/teddy out :) then grey's cast will be amazing once again..

1. What was your favorite Grey's Anatomy quote from the episode?
"Go hug yourself" or Derek's banter about speeding. That's all PD.
2. Who's marriage do you think will last longer? Derek and Meredith's or Owen and Cristina's?
M/D dude. Marriage isn't defined by a piece of paper. Or legal status. The only thing that signing the license does, is to give legal rights, not to make it a marriage. Legal or not, M/D is a marriage.
3. Should Mark have told Lexie about his true feelings for her?
Nop and he should run far far away. With Addison away.
4. More heart wrenching scene: Cristina having a breakdown on the surgical floor or Meredith telling Derek she had a miscarriage?
Both. Can't choose here.
5. Who do you think needs the most advice this week and what would you tell him/her?
ITA that Derek needs the most advice this week. Watch out!

It is always frustrating for me when people hate on the post-it marriage. Shonda has made multiple references to the fact that the MerDer post-it is a commentary on gay marriage--it doesn't have to be (and in some instances can't be) legal for it to be real.
I wish that people would see that as the progressive, incisive social commentary that it is, instead of screaming that she robbed them of MerDer romance or that Meredith and Derek are too cowardly to make it legal.

Completely agree with rrs!
I was expecting to need a box of tissues regarding the miscarriage, but it seemed almost anti-climatic... Focusing more on Derek's speeding than such an important event just seems absurd to me!
Totally felt for Cristina on the other hand, BEAUTIFUL job by Sandra Oh.

All I know is that, once again, Shonda has robbed us of what could have & Should have been an incredibly intense, beautiful scene. But instead we got 10 seconds of Mer telling Der about the miscarriage. Moving as it was, it could have been so much more.

1. What was your favorite Grey's Anatomy quote from the episode?
Fav line 'Go hug yourself'. It made me laugh so hard. Also Mer tell Derek about the miscarriage.
2. Who's marriage do you think will last longer? Derek and Meredith's or Owen and Cristina's?
We know that MerDer are together forever! Even though they are not legally married, for SR they're married and she make the rules lol. So we're stuck with the post-it I guess. Now, hoping for a baby. :) I think CO will also make it, I don't see them leaving each other.
3. Should Mark have told Lexie about his true feelings for her?
I don't think so.
4. More heart wrenching scene: Cristina having a breakdown on the surgical floor or Meredith telling Derek she had a miscarriage?
Both were heartbreaking. I had tears in both scenes.
5. Who do you think needs the most advice this week and what would you tell him/her?
I agree with L.G Gibbs, Derek is going to need some advice with his sister coming to Seattle an
Well I'm going to disagree with the people of the round table. Grey's is Shonda's world and in Shonda's world legal marriage don't last, in case you haven't notice.
Furthermore in the real world the post it is not legal but who cares. In Shondaland the post it counts, MerDer aren't real. The laws of the real world don't apply to any of the characters on Grey's.
