Gossip Girl > Gossip Girl Round Table: "The Townie" > Comments Page 2
I want NAIR back lol wow Lily being an evil stepmum I so look forward to it
1.so long friends and dan, could we get any better?
2.ostroff security wouldnt let blair and dan in but let juliet in when serena wasnt even there?
3.i think it was rather nice for serena to do so and mature as well! odd like serena to do that but yeah!
4.hmmmmm i dont know it will be interesting!
5.not as a couple never ever ever!!!! but as friends that was hilarious imma totally get behind that!
5. Blair and Dan: Should they get it on?!?!
DANdy: Her eyeballs in uselessness!
I am not "daring to dair" anytime soon. yes they are good friends and yes i am arguably the biggest chair fan ever, but dair fans you have to accept reality. they are two separate people first off. secondly, wouldn't it be really awkward for serena and dan? and i think (not really sure...) they're dating. i don't think practical blair would do that after the "nate situation".
and DANdy...i love you =D
I absolutely adored this week's episode. I liked the hunt for Juliet, Blair being her wonderful witty/caring/loyal self, the DB banter, Serena facing up her problems, Dan and his complexes haha, Damien! (I want to see more of him in future eps), finally FINALLY finding out the deal between Ben and Serena, AND Lily being outed for being such an absolutely horrid mother/stepmother.
@pointer - Vanessa has been useless since the beginning and NOTHING can be done to make her well-liked. Also Nate is not useless, his story was just not yet integrated in the main story but it will be soon.
lol just after reading the round table i noticed vanessa wasn't in this episode... no wonder it was sooooo good!
Why all the anti-Vanessa comments? Haven't you guys noticed that Nate has become just as useless?
I LOVE that Dan and Nate actually dress like eachother. Dan in peacoats and Nate in plaid!
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from last night?
Chuck: "So long friends, Dan".
2. Which is looser, Lily's morals or Ostroff Center security?
I don't understand why Lily suddenly became such a horrible person. A little concealing and lying, sure. But at this level, with such immoral repercussion? It's a weird, unrealistic twist.
3. Was Serena right to let Juliet off the hook?
No, that's just weird too.
4. Will Jack help Chuck save Bass Industries?
Not without a price, obviously.
5. Blair and Dan?
Yes, yes, a thousand yesses. They are absolutely adorable as a couple. Dan is everything she needs post-Chuck, and Blair will utterly discombobulate his universe, in a good way for a change.
BONUS: What do you think Vanessa was up to this week?
Don't know, don't CARE!
DAIR so adorable,,, i love it... funny & from different character,,,, their relationship makes me curios!!
''Goodbye friends..and dan''
^ BEST QUOTE OF THE NIGHT..I LAUGHED SO HARD!
and i am all for dair, but i dont want them to have a sexual relationship.. :P
Blair and Dan? Of course. Bring it on !! Did anyone notice how Dan and Blair "match" now? Like Chuck and Blair used to? Dan's gray jacket matched Blair's black, white and gray checkered coat. Dan's red plaid shirt in the dish-washing scene "matched" Blair's red tweed dress. HOW CUTE IS THAT??
I've always thought Dan and Blair have great chemistry together. They made me laugh out loud and now, hopefully they'll have more to offer. Writers, PLEASE let Dan and Blair go further. This is an intelligent, intellectual, sweet sympathetic match and will make for great entertainment. Oddball or at odds, I think they go very, very well together.
And if Chuck gets jealous, all the better. Dan has the depth of character and intergrity to be a "threat" to Mr. Bass for our lovely Queen B, whether he means to or not. Go for it fabulous writers!!
OMG! Dan and Blair were fantastic. I think they'll, at the most, kiss and vow to never speak of it again. At best, I think they'll end up as kinda-sorta-friends, but their friendship will definitely be based on funny banter and jabs on both sides :)
its a torture for making us wait 2 months for the next episode!!!!!! dan and Blair are sooooo cute, but not as a couple, as enemies!!!!
love wat chuck said at the end " happy holidays friends ... Dan" that cracked me up so hard, lily went too far with the whole bass industries thing I hope Jack cum bck and take that bitch down poor Rufus every1 around him just turns out to be selfish and manipulative, love Dan and Blair as friends nothing more nothing less, if they hookup it would just be add to the already long list of bed hopping that already taking place over the years between the gang,I just want the writer to have some lines that they don't cross ie chuck and serena will neva hookup that one that should neva happen plz same with dan and blair.
loved this ep.
good few funny quotes loved seeing damien as a geek.
loved chucks 'bye friends..dan'
felt so sorry for ben, hope he gets out he seemed so nice
im a huge derena and chair fan and thats the way i want the show to end.. but i would like to see dan & blair, just to see what they'd be liek together. love their scenes together but it would be weird to see them romantically but still want to see it
and last so disappointed with lily, i know she's like a compulsive liar and loads of people hate her but i actually love her. it was the chuck thing that really got me.
I've talked this episode out to so many people already, so I'm not going to get into it again currently, but I do have to say - DB are absolutely hysterical, but as a couple? Please God NO. And, personally, I think it's stupid for Chuck to get Jack for help. I mean, yeah, it might get the Bass business back initially, but he'd never have it again once it's in his uncle's clutches.
As has been posted SO often on this site: Chuck and Blair are end-game. That's not opinion--it's fact. The writers have said so.
Whatever happens with Dan and Blair will be a growing experience for both of them, but it won't be permanent, so--no worries.
Honestly, The Townie wasn't what i expected. The episode before townie ended with Blair saying that Juliette is going down so I really wanted that Blair let the bitch inside of her out( of course with Chuck helping her :P )
Other thing that I REALLY don't understand is how Blair and Dan couldn't get into the Ostroff center and Juliette did??!! WTF
Now let's talk about Blair and Dan, first of all if they really should be together pleaseeeee let it not be serious, Blair and Chuck are like LEGENDARY characters and they just have to be together, of course there has to be drama but, but CHAIR 4 EVER
That, of course, was meant to be Season three!
Was just watching end of season four and Ben was mentioned! In the It's a Dad Dad Dad World, when Serena is talking to her father and lying about how she was all about academia at boarding school, Jenny butts in and says that Damien had told her a story of how Serena was in a hotel with a teacher. So the Ben story line must have been in the writer's minds for some time...
I am a Chair shipper but Dair blew my mind in Townie. They are so hilarious- I wish Dan falls for Blair first-I would love to see her disdainful remarks when that happens. After Chair its all Dair
1 - Can't decide if it was Serena calling Lily a selfish bitch in front of everyone at Lily's party. But not quite with those words. Or if it was Juliet calling Serena a stupid bitch.
2 - Seriously. Lily is a selfish pathetic imoral crazy elite gold digging slut. She and Vanessa could just jump out of the Empire State Building together. Death doesn't get any worse than that.
3 - Well, yes. Considering that her mother filled Juliet's brother for rape, Serena tried to make ammends.
4 - Of course he will. Do you think he wants Lily to benefit from his brother and nephew's hard work? Take the blonde bitch down.
5 - NO. Let them just be friends.
6 - I dreamt about a Vanessa-free mid-season finale. maybe the writters can keep that up until the end of the show.
So, my bonus question: Don't you think the episode would have been much better if Serena slapped Lily in the face?
LOVE JULIET. LOVED HER FROM THE START, LOVE HER NOW.
i knew her role this season was not just to be a senseless bitch. it's good to see gossip girl finally not being confined to just their small circle of people (blair serena dan nate chuck and gang), it makes them seem self centred. the writers need to bring in big plot lines like these, make the storyline more intricate.
i'm so glad that finally some of the blame falls on the gossip girl gang (serena) and they have atonements to make to others. it's impossible for people as snobbish as them not to have ruin and wrecked other's lives without being punished for it.
