NCIS Planning Tony-Centric, Flashback-Driven Episode

at . Comments

We just saw him act serious for the first time ever in "False Witness." Now get ready to once again see NCIS' Tony DiNozzo as you've never seen him before.

Before he worked at the agency, that is.

Executive producer Shane Brennan says a spring "origin episode" will delve into young DiNozzo’s life before he became an NCIS agent and one-half of Tiva.

Obsession By Tony

Michael Weatherly has been terrific this season as Tony.

TV's #1 drama already flashed back once this fall, offering a memorable two-part installment (see Parts I and II) centered on younger Vance and Eli David.

“The episode will reveal much about DiNozzo’s past as a Baltimore cop,” he says. “And yes, we’ll hear the first words exchanged between DiNozzo and Gibbs."

"It’s a memorable first meeting.”

Any guesses on what those words might be? Are you looking forward to seeing young Tony, or would you prefer an "origin" episode about another character?

Allie that was season 1 The very first headslap - Gibbs to Tony 1x05 The Curse

Have been waiting for this since episode #1! Michael wont let us down:)

Actually, Tony has been serious in many eps (Semper Fi, Aliyah, etc.), we've just never him serious for an entire episode before. Guess on Tony's first words to Gibbs : " "This reminds me of a movie..".

It would be nice to see the very first time Tony got slapped in the back of the head :D

CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS SHOW----------------------------------

oh this should be AWESOME!!! SO EXCITED!!!

I know she came in to NCIS on his 2nd year anyways as for his first words to Tony "Rule Number 9"

sounds like a great episode hope the writers dont let us down.

I can't wait to see the Tony origin episode! I have no idea how they will do flashbacks, but have faith they will be clever enough to pull it off, and that the considerably talented Michael Weatherly will hit it out of the park!

A Tony origin episode is a great idea. I just wonder how they will make him look as young and slender as the first couple of NCIS seasons. Gibbs, "You should have shot to kill the bastard!" To young cop DiNozzo when he merely wounds a bad guy in a chase with Gibbs present. LOL

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.
