I'm not happy about this news, however, I don't think they'll kill Castiel off. The producers, writers, etc know that he is well liked on the fan base. I think they'll demote him to make it seem as though he's the villain next year. Because if he is the "new God" like he said he was, he'll obviously return to heaven to control it or Dean, Sam and Bobby will get those souls out of him and he'll realize that he'll need to make amends and seek redemption from heaven. I seriously don't think they'll kill him off.

This can't happen to Castiel! This mustn't! If the predictable happens: Castiel goes bad, they kill him... I will NOT watch anymore. I too have grown attached to the character. Man, they devoted an entire episode to him asking help and forgiveness from G-d, and then, just like that, they make him go all nuts with power. All in one episode. No. This can't be happening. Sara Gamble, this is not entertaining nor interesting, this is annoying. Cut it out. And a transformation should happen over several episodes, not one. Don't make mistakes like Smallville did and "explore" things it shouldn't just for the sake of being "interesting" (Anyone who has watched Smallville, remember Davis Bloome? Please don't be a copy-cat Supernatural). Castiel is not an "evil" character, nor should he ever be unless you intend on him changing his mind later on. Killing him is just rotten. PLEASE DO BETTER THAN THAT SUPERNATURAL!

If they kill Castiel off, then I will not watching this show. Sera Gamble needs to wake up. Maybe he will be a recurring Guest Star like Heather Locklear was on Melrose Place.

This is almost the worst thing that could happen. I have grown very attached to him. I hope that they see the error of their ways and he is back for more episodes.
