Laurence Fishburne: Leaving CSI!

We have a genuine CSI stunner: Laurence Fishburne is leaving the CBS drama.

An insider confirms to Deadline Hollywood that the actor's contract was up and he simply chose not to renew it. Look for Fishburne to return to movies in the near future.

Shot of Langston

Ratings for CSI have dropped since Fishburne took over for William Peterson two-and-a-half years ago. The show will even be moved to Wednesday nights in the fall.

Will you miss Fishburne as Dr. Raymond Langston?

Yes, I loved his intensity
No, he never caught on

Personally I hope Officer Mitch becomes a regular to replace Ray. I've always liked him even though he never really had much face time on the show, other then the episode with the "zombies" but when he is shown he's always pretty funny.

This show has been over since Grissom left. Sara returning to the show made it worse. UGH.

So now the question is... who fills the void? Do we get a new CSI agent or do they fill in with others stepping up?

If I got to pick, I would bring Liz Vassey back as the rookie and have Stokes step up into the Senior role.
