Gossip Girl, 90210, Nikita & Supernatural: Super Sized!

by at . Comments

Great news today for fans of four CW favorites:

The network has ordered additional episodes of Gossip Girl, 90210, Nikita and Supernatural. The first two will now air 24 episodes over 2011-2012, while the latter pair picked up one installment and will air 23 total.

  • Major Smooch
  • Louis' Fiancee

Why is this not the case for The Vampire Diaries? That show simply takes longer to shoot and produce.

Does this mean that I'm now going to have to suffer through an additional 2 episodes of Nilver?

I'd rather vomit then watch the new season of Gossip Girl

I hate what the writers of Gossip Girl has made the serie
I do not want no more to see Gossip Girl

More chances to see Jenny and Vanessa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over course, I just realised that if you extend the episodes per season to 24, but the CW gives the same budget then I'm going to have to expect some TRULY TRULY horrible filler plots/arcs this season for Gossip Girl and Supernatural. Now, expecting some guest star arcs and poor writing to fill some episodes... NO NO no...

Given that the Vampire Diaries takes time to send the special effects over from Atlanta, I assume the production team has to be meticulous with episode by episode coverage. As for Gossip Girl, 90210 and Supernatural, there really isn't any problems with setting more episodes other than the budget of the show. This is probably what surprises me considering the only time seasons get extended past 20 episodes per season is when there's a writers strike. I also wonder how Nikita got an extended season since I thought there budget was pretty expensive. Maybe, we'll get a lot of tunnel and factory action.
