Robert Wagner and Ralph Waite to Reprise NCIS Roles

at . Comments

Robert Wagner and Ralph Waite, two NCIS fan favorites as the fathers of DiNozzo and Gibbs, respectively, will be reprising their roles this season, EW reports.

Wagner, 81, has made memorable appearances in each of the last two seasons of NCIS, while Waite, 83, has guest starred in each of the previous three.

It's not clear if one or both will appear on the CBS hit before the show's 200th episode, which airs in January, but regarding that particular milestone, executive producer Gary Glasberg says "there will be a lot of faces involved” in the event.

RJ Wagner
Gibbs, Sr.

“We are planning a really unique and interesting episode of TV. I think it will be special for the people who have stuck with the show. We are putting a lot of time in it."

Who would you like to see on NCIS' 200th episode? What circumstances do you think bring the elder Gibbs and DiNozzo back this time around? Discuss!

Sounds like this episode will be filled with guest stars for their anniversay. Wagner is appearing in his own series this year Charlie's Angels. Maybe lots of surpises in it.

Hi Editor I think you will be right that it be two different episodes. and I love your comments and Janet's too

My 2 favourite people are here on this site - thank you both Janet and Tiva - nice kind words - so,here I am to say that I sooooo look forward to the two Dads appearance on NCIS. Anthony Jr. is like funny trouble with a sweet twinkle in his eye and Gibbs Dad, well he is after all John Walton - fabulous in any role. And I agree that I hope some accident doesn't bring them to DC. But pretty sure they will be on at 2 different times during the season...YaH....

There us nothing better than a Daddy and Jr. DiNozzo episode. I can not wait.
Also Jackson Gibbs is always a total pleasure.
Season 9 - WINNING !!!!!!!

I bet gibbs dad comes to see how his son doing since Mike death and I bet Tony dad comes to see Tony ask EJ to be his wife

cant wait i think season 9 will be one of the best seasons.

that is cool they be in the some episode I just hope that Gibbs and Tony don't get hurt. I also can't wait to see the Abby episode

Happy to see the 'dads' anytime. Wagner is particularly a blast as Tony Sr. I have also heard that here will be an 'Abby" episode which should be great and Lily Tomlin will add another sparkle. Being a No 1 show sure helps get the big names as guest stars!

Daddy Gibbs and Daddy DiNozzo in one episode would be TV Gold! :)

NCIS Quotes

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
