I agree, it wasn't that funny. And as pointed out, there is a disturbing, repetitive plot pattern developing here. Jess gets herself in some sort of pickle while the roomates stand around and watch, and then in the last five minutes they come to the rescue. This is old school sitcom and it doesn't need to be revived.
