I don't agree that Danny is out of character or silly or being sidelined. We see as much of Danny as we did last year really. And Scott Caan is working on some projects so the showrunners can't help that. Having said that I agree with everyone else on Lori.
She doesn't fit and she's always there whenever Steve and Danny do most of their scenes. I hate the way Steve keeps asking her opinion and stuff it's so forced and false. I don't buy he'd bring her in like that, she was forced on him he'd be distrustful.
I hope against hope they lose the character or totally reduce her role and bring back Kono and Chin for the love of God!

I agree that this was a terrible show. Not only Danny's disrespect over the burial grounds, but the silly dialogue he was given to say made it seem like he was some jerky school kid, especially how he acted when he saw the woman he had dated. Lori is ruining this show and does not fit in at all. She is getting all the attention that Kono, Chin and Danny used to get, and as a result they are being left behind with either nothing to do or else act silly. It's a shame that what was a good show is being destroyed.

Not a great episode. I was confused.
Loved seeing Autumn Reeser back. SO GLAD to see Little Gracie. I am glad she was back. Can we please bring back wifey now. Let them live happily ever after. Why is Lori getting all the work Kono should be getting. Yes she was gone for what 2 episodes 3 tops but no way would the members give her crappy office work. Lori somehow managed to get on McGarrett's trust side in that short time. FALSE

Odd that the comments on here are so negative when on other sites a lot of people think this is one of the best eps this season.
I don't think Danny was out of character, he's always been a nag with no sensitivity but he is funny.
Lori has to go agree on this but it's not enough to ruin the ep. This one had a lot of fun stuff in it. Loved the quality McDanno moments and the end of the ep was brilliant.

Get rid of those females Kono is suppose to be a man. Put Kono in a special assignment as a pole dancer and kill off the other one. They are just not realistic. The show sucks with them in it. Hawaii 5/0 is a man's show.

Hawaii 5-0 was a man's show meaning it was more realistic with men running the show. Kono was a man not a fragile female who the show thinks she can take on everyone. People not realistic. Get rid of those females they are ruining the show. If you want to make it more interesting put Kono in a special assignment as a pole dancer and the other one gets killed.

Well,frankly speaking I think ep07 was somewhat much better than the last 6 eps this season,coz I can see Danny and Kono got more screentime this ep which I'm so satisfied with already.TUT
About one thing,u r right,Jim!Lori should've been killed by whoever'd like to do us this huge favour ASAP!
Anyway I definitely did not like the way Danny was written in this episode,it was so stupid and terrible.
Oh I get it,it was halloween special and they had to add some ghosts or spirits stuff to the show.So they messed up both the criminal case and Danny's character.
I have to say the ending part saved Danny,that moving scene was so adorable.For me,Danny Steve Chin and Kono,they are just like such a happy family together.

Geez, just get over yourselves!!! It was a fun Halloween show...you're trying to look too deep. I love, love this show and was very concerned with the first episodes up to when they brought Kono finally back. Now I feel like they're back in the groove again. Lori isn't that bad. I've grown to like her and think she'll play off Steve perfectly. You all seem to think he's too good for anyone...I love they way he gets all boyish around her now. Shows a human side to him besides the tough guy...going to be fun watching the rest of this year. I just hope Danno gets laid soon...he needs it...BAD...

After watching this episode, I am actually thinking about not watching this show ever again. I think I have had enough. And believe me, this is coming from a fan who watches each episode over and over. I live for this show. But this freakin' Lori character has ruined my fav show. They are trying too hard to make her as the best character ever. GIVE IT UP! I almost puked when I heard wonder woman as her alter ego. And Why did Steve want to know who she went to the party with? That's not believable at all. Steve has no chemistry with her! AND not only is she taking quality dialogue from Danno, Kono, Chin...I swear she was on the screen more that Steve. WTF??? I am so pissed right now! No offense to the actress but she is ruining my show.

I think this episode could have closed up a little better like showing who the other bodies that they found at the crime scene. I think that the scene that the gardener( at the end the dead gardener) was very cheesey the best thing they could think of was falling down an elevator shaft com on writers think of something better other that that I think that Hawaii five o is the best it has ever been.

Hawaii Five-O is the only show I watch every week without fail. I have to agree; last night's episode just didn't come up to its usual par. In fact, this season's episodes just aren't as good as last year's shows. Lori just doesn't fit in with any of the characters with the way they play it. Hope that improves as the season goes on!

Thought Danny taking his daughter trick or treating in the motel was lame, though I think it was supposed to be funny. Thought the scene where they were teasing Lori about her costume could have been done with Chin/Kono, no need for Lori.
Loved Matrix Max, good to see Fong - when are he and Kono gonna hook up anyway? (2 asians, playing right into George's theory - no need to comment again, we get it,see?)
Car-gument was ok, have seen way better ones. Disliking Steve sniffing around Lori, all concerned over her getting hit in the head (and bouncing up just fine 2 secs later-lame) but Kono gets shot a couple episodes ago and he barely even looked worried there.
Did like the final scene with them moving Danny in and them joking around about his big mattress and him finding out about the elderly lady ghost.
The writing is killing this show - makes me sad.

Completely agree--What made Danny think it was okay to ignore his teams cultural beliefs--not the danny we know--get rid of the blonde, she is pointless--I don't care about her at all!! And hire someone to watch the storylines for inaccuracies!! Otherwise watch for that shark to jump!!

I beleive the writers are taking orders from the top. No interracial love interest means no interracial love interest. In fact, they dont need to have any love interest. They can be sort of like Criminal Minds or NCIS Los Angeles. No need to show any sex scenes. If Kono goes she should be replaced by another Asian or Polynesian, not by Lori. I personally think they are trying to push Kono and Chin Ho Kelly out and replace them with white actors. Hollywood has done it before and it will do it again!

It seems that the powers that be decided that Rachel and Danny should not be together and have written it so that the baby wasn't Danny's and she is trying to reconcile with her current husband.
This episode actually marked the first appearance of Grace this season. Sadly, it was a disappointing cameo at best.

Last nite wasn't their best show ever,but I do agree...NO one should call Danno that name except Steve and Grace. And what happened that I missed since last season when his ex-wife was with Danno when he was in the hospital?? Didn't Danno tell Steve they "were talking". don't want to see Danny with this blonde chick!! I really I've loved this show alot, but it's hard when you see it going to the tank. Also, is Kono leaving? Please writers, producers and powers that be....make the show like it was...don't fix stuff that isn't broke!!!

The only things reviewer got right was yes, I hoped they killed off the blonce and no they don't use guest stars in story line enough. Get back to old show.

good epsiode so far.
Why is Lori going to the raiding with the guys and kono not? She in the office doing tech stuff and I feel that Lori should be in the office and let kono be with her boys during the raiding. Also, when Lori get hit on the head, Steve and danny worry about her but when kono got shot, nobody care except for chin..which I could understand cuz they r cousin. I don't get it!?
Still like the show but if the show going to be like this having Lori stealing cast member scenes/lines then I say bye bye to 5-0.

I think fans would have liked her if she were introduced in a completely different way (not panning up her legs etc. and having Steve ogling her). Also, if her part was kept to a minimum like the other newbies and slowly gained more screen time. I have to blame the writer for the lame script when it comes to her lines. She's definitely not the beautiful, sexy bombshell, type so stick with more of an "officer of the law" type. She's an actress, I would hope she could handle that. As far as a love interest, problem is that Catherine was so damn good it will be hard to replace her with another one so soon SO DON'T.

I disagree. My son and his wife have a beautiful daughter who is 1/2 Asian (Viet) and half white. My daughter-in-law is beautiful. Asian-American is awesome and the writer's could very well give Steve or Danny an Asian love interest. Get the scrawny, ugly blond out of there. If Grace Park wants to leave for personal reasons, replace her with another Asian.

...which despite the proliferation of AW/WM couples in the real world, they cannot use Kono instead of Lori as skin color does matter to many viewers.

Kono is not white, while Lori is and hence only Lori can be any white guy's date.

Sticks to the stereotype of the invisible Asian-American very well as she takes the role secondary to a white woman. May not happen in the real world, especially in science and Tech..but happens in Hollywood.

Totally agree with the negative reviews. This was the worst program I've seen in a long time and it angers me, as I loved this show the first season, loved the characters, the team and their interactions they were building - and with the Lori character (and bad actress), we only get glimpses of what used to be. It's breaking down and unless they change the direction back to developing further what they once had, I'm off this show (and I was a true fanatic of it). If Grace Park wants off the show for her personal reasons, then get someone else who we can believe in to replace her - "Weston" is not it. (and PS - I liked the scene between Danny and Steve re respecting a culture).

"George, four white people???"
The Lead Actors are now three white people with one Asian. Kono goes Chin Ho Kelly would be gone a short while after that and we will have four white leading actors in a place which is essentially Polynesian and Asian. It is like having four Asian characters in the now past show Everwood, based in Evergreen, CO.

Please go back and check out the ratings...that is one show where the ratings actually fell and they decided to do away with her white boyfriend, and he has not returned since! Now, Kono is like that Chinese guy in tne mentalist, absolutely serious, stone faced, asexual with no interest in any woman which is fine if they keep Kono as equivalent to the Chinese guy in the Mentalist.
