The Amazing Race > The Amazing Race Review: What An Ending! > Comments Page 3
I am done with this show. Not fair at all. I will not watch anymore.
I bet CBS cut out the part where the Snowboarders' cab driver unknowingly let Jeremy's driver know that Balboa Statue was the wrong place cause how else could Jeremy's driver have been so positive that they were heading to the correct place? All 4 cab drivers were communicating at that point, that's how. (And I'm not sure they even realized they were in a race, just delighted that some television production company paid them good money to drive around Panama for 1 full day)
What a farce, I'm not even going to watch the finale now. I hope Jeremy and Sandy beat the other 2 coat tail rider teams cause they definitely do NOT deserve it. A shame that it had to end this way cause otherwise this would have been a great season.
Andy and Tommy were cheated every bit as much as Jet and Cord were last season. If TAR doesn't want to continue to have a decline in its audience, it simply HAS to address the inequities - disallow ANY form of sharing of information whatsoever, and if it happens to be taxi drivers doing it whom they cannot impose a penalty like they could against a team, it should be determined at this time that it would be a non-elimination leg and (in this case, there would be a final four and not the usual final three). I'm not going to say that I will not watch the final episode, I will watch it, I'm just hoping that Ernie and Cindy do not win, they seem to be the ones who were most threatened by Andy and Tommy.
The bizarre way in which the snowboarders were eliminated should really be examined by the people who make the rules for this show. Even though it might have been technically fair for the cab drivers to comandeer the two teams' direction plans, it seems completely unjustified, and should warrant a penalty for each team that essentially cheated its way to the finish. And if it wasn't cheating according to the rules, does it really seem right for cab drivers to counter the instructions given to them by their passengers by essentially giving them the answers to the test? i.e., interfering with the game by giving away a crucial place name? The snowboarders were robbed and should be compensated by being allowed back into the race as either a fourth team or the rightful second or third team after recovering their loss through some penalty leveled against the offending teams. Whatever changes that might take place in the rules because of this will, I suppose, not affect the outcome of this ep
My letter to CBS!!! Absolutely disappointed with tonight's ending...having the snowboarders, Tommy and Andy, eliminated! It seems completely unfair that the taxi drivers were all calling one another to let the other drivers know they were supposed to be headed to the Panama Viejo location for the pit stop...Other than Jeremy and Sandy, the two other couples were headed to the Balboa location because they read the clue on the coins in the same manner as the guys did...Just when you thought they might follow in Tommy and Andy's footsteps, the drivers started to communicate with one another...This is just WRONG!!! After the guys were such great players, this was a complete disappointment in how it was handled...I am not even interested in watching the final episode to see who wins, now because I believe two of the couples don't even have a right to be there since their cab drivers cheated...I HOPE IN THE FUTURE YOU CONSIDER HAVING OUR BELOVED SNOWBOARDERS BACK ON THE SHOW FOR A CHANCE T
BOO to the producers of Amazing Race. This should have been an non elimination round due to the cab drivers. Andy and Tommy got cheated out, especially since they legitamitely figured out the clue themselves and would have been second if the cab drivers didn't interfere... Not impressed at all!
TAM better have a good explanation why there weren't any penalties. I've been upset with other seasons, but this is a deal breaker for me. if there is no correction of the outcome, or clear explanation of the rules. I'm not watching any further seasons. All a racing team would need to do in the future when unable to solve the puzzle is wait for another team to solve and then follow their cab, not even knowing where they are headed. very lame.
It's always frustratingly disappointing when outcomes are determined by good or bad cab drivers, and this leg was no exception. They should just give them vehicles and make them drive themselves, especially in the last few legs when there are fewer teams and this is more feasible.
I didn't know this was "Amazing Cabbies." Lamefest 2011. Sad to see Tommy and Andy get robbed. I will not watch the final 3 boring teams in the finale.
I can't believe this....Ernie and Cindy were not penalized in a previous episode for riding the train with no tickets. Then in this episode in Panama their tatoos were done at the same time as Amani and Marcus what is that? Ernie and Cindy's appointment time was last and yet they had theirs done at the same time and actually got finished and in a boat before Amani and Marcus. But the final straw was Cindy in the taxis saying no hablo and then ending up with their taxi driver taking them to the correct location despite they had informed him otherwise and they end up in the final 3. And they actually feel good about themselves...whoa.
seriously? you don't have a problem when other teams gang up together and share information to put one team at a disadvantage (i.e.; the help given to marcus this year, and the take down of the cowboys last year), but when it's random cab drivers, it's a huge flaw? don't get me wrong, i agree, i can't stand it when someone decides to play "telephone" and deliberately give other teams an edge, but i don't differentiate between contestants doing it vs. cab drivers. it's not cool and ultimately against the theme of the show when anyone does it......even the contestants themselves.
I've seen every show of every season and that was without a doubt the WORST ending ever. The best team got absolutely SHAFTED and would have finished second without a bunch of idiotic cab drivers artificially determining the outcome. The producers should have never let that happen!!!!!!
Obviously, that should have been "I'm glad they're gone." Hit submit too soon. Oy.
Eh, Andy and Tommy only won the legs they won because of a lot of luck, so it makes sense the would go out on luck. Their luck just ran out at the wrong time. But they've been riding a lot of good luck all season. And their little Jesus freak thing was starting to get pretty old.
They're obviously not too bright, and this episode showed it. They can do the physical, dangerous challenges well, but FAIL at anything with a little problem solving or that takes some intelligence. Charlie Chaplin? That was embarrassingly bad. I'm glad their gone.
The snowboarders were robbed...they should be invited back for amazing race 20...
Worst Clue Ever! Amazing Race Producers, You should come up with better clues, It was pure luck for two teams that they were helped out by cab drivers who don't even know what's going on. I Hated the ending. The two best racers got cheated.
Show continues to reinforce cheating pays off...there should be a way to correct the results through penalties for cheating.
The cab drivers enabled unintentional cheating. Andy and Tommy would have been 2nd if not for the sharing of information by the drivers. Andy and Tommy should be allowed to race for the million.
