This episode was terrific!!
The kid and the mom, Adele and Richard, Christina and Owen. Heartbreaking!
And the last minutes scene was so tense.
When Owen yelled, "you killed our baby!"
He forgot he was there too!
The scene was truly heartbreaking! Can't wait for the next episode 8x14.
But still have two wait for two weeks..
Sandra Oh and Kevin Mckidd,, really make their fans crying!! Goood job!
This is imo the best episode of the season so far (yes even better than 8x10). It made me smile, laugh out loud, cry, cry some more, laugh again, be shocked and cry again. I mean, wow, what an episode. It speaks volume about the writers that after 8 seasons they can still write story that don't feel overused or to far fetched. This show can really make you care.
I loved everything about this episode, from Calzona/Sloan, over April/Jackson/Alex, Zola's birthday, the medical cases, Adele, Cristina and Teddy, Auntie Cristina to the Owen/Cristina fight.
Flawless, absolutely flawless.
Adele scene was ok
I loved the little boy not his mom though
I feel sorry for christina that she fell in love with owen
I want to see more of merder still not to happy about zola i want to see a mcbaby not a mcadopted baby Alex april and avery were fill in characters this week I wish callie would be a stay at home mom cause i dont like her character she mellodramatic!!!!!

Great episode. The scene with Adele was so realistic. If you have any experience with Alzheimer's patient, it was typical for her to think he had left her. I had an experience like that with my dear cousin when I took care of her for the afternoon and her husband went to a baseball game. She was sure he was not coming back and was leaving her. Made me cry when they sang together. As far as Owen and Yang, if she didn't want children, why didn't she just have her tubes tied or have a hysterectomy, being doctors they know birth control isn't perfect. I don't blame him, she is a very selfish woman.
The relationship is doomed.

I think Loretta Devine stole the episode with her scenes. She was fantastic as always and her scenes warmed the heart.
I kinda envy april if she's moving in with those two.I agree that avery is horribly underutilized.
teddy and yang were behaving like brats. how juvenile.it is a tough situation for all them but both are taking it out on owen. its bad enough he doesnt always get the respect he's due as chief but them undermining them was insubordinate.he made the right call.I like Yang but Im team owen as far as their relationship because he ALWAYS compromises with her and caves for her but she never does the same or at least gives him the dignity of listening to his opinions.i can see why he's so fed up.There is nothing equal about their partnership.

Great episode, I love that they really got to so many story lines after focusing on very specific characters in recent episodes. Most of what I could think of for a lot of the ep. was the Meredith REALLY needs to get back to neuro - it's where she's MEANT to be. She was SO good there and Lexi is just faking it trying to replace her there. I think she knows it too which is why she hasn't picked it yet.

I loved this episode because I thought after a few weak ones, greys anatomy is back on track. But I hate the way you dont really see Meredith and Derek together anymore. They used to have such good chemistry and now they are just briefly together at the beginning and end of episodes. Also, I really think it's time to resolve the Mark/Lexie storyline as it's getting quite old now. And I don't really see how Christina and owen are going to get past this so I think it might be the end for them. I'm really looking forward to the if/them episodes so we can see the characters behave in different ways and see new couples.

I have just read the bad news today that Heigl wants to crawl back, I hope they don't make room for her, as I love this program and I will have to give up watching it if she comes back as she is definitely the weakest link and it has gone from strength to strength since she left.
DON'T BRING HER BACK, PLEASE!!!!!

Great episode. I still can't like Owen's character. He consistently either doesn't see who Christina is or really listen to her and then acts like a spoiled brat when he doesn't get what he wants. She told him from the start that she didn't want kids; he figured she would just "come around". Manipulative idiot. Taking her off Teddy's service was just spiteful because of them laughing at him. If he doesn't have the backbone to deal with the consequences of the decisions he makes as chief (which I think was the right one in not telling Teddy about her husband) then he ought to resign. He acts like such a baby when someone is mad at him.
Regarding the If/Then, why are these episodes even thought of? Just like the musical - I think it's a wasted episode. I don't tune in to see Meredith all sunny and bright, Alex with those fake glasses or Callie singing. Get on with the show, Shonda and quit the crap!

Every scene that Adele was in was great and when she and Richard sang My Funny Valentine, I cried.
Sorry for the 3 posts but I had lots to say
I like how Derek can go from being upset at Lexie in the OR and tell her to leave and then later at the party he can leave that behind and be her brother in law. Teddy should learn to do that!!!
What great acting from Kevin and Sandra I was so emotional after that scene myself and I was just watching it!!
I also really liked the 2 cases they had with the sisters and the boy and his mom
All in all just a really great episode!!!

Yes I do think it was very sad that Henry dies and I get that Teddy is upset BUT she should have talked to Owen outside of work at how upset she is and mad at him for lying to her about Henry, however Owen is the chief and he did the right thing as Chief by not telling Christina who she was operating on so that she could do her 100% best AND he did not tell Teddy because he was doing what was best for the patient she was operating on. Now on the other side of it as her friend and Christina's husband he maybe did not do the right thing BUT he did what any chief would do and I think that Teddy and Christina were being like bratty teens!!

An absolutely great episode of Grey's! I think Wes was one of the best patient cases the show has ever had. If the words "I'll be with daddy in heaven" didn't make you cry, then I don't know what will.
Adele and Richard. Wow. Amazing. I will never listen to My Funny Valentine again without remembering this. I really liked the vulnerability we saw from the Chief and I'm hoping they continue to run with this arc.
And of course, Cristina and Owen. This was a long time coming and I'm glad it finally happened. I get where Owen's coming from but he knew this about Cristina. It's a messy situation all around so seeing how they navigate their way around it will be great too watch.

I am behind Owen, too!!! I was waiting for him to man-up and he finally did. Christina does get whatever she wants.....and I love when he said, "this was not the life i wanted." or something like that. He has made a lot of sacrafices....give the guy a break already. And him taking christina off teddy's service....very cheif-like. The last 10 minutes were the best.
OMG, I think we just witnessed the end of Owen and Christina! That was cut throat/brutal... I don't think there is any coming back from a comment like that - and you could see that on Christina's face - Sandra O is a monster of an actress - all I can say is wow, what a story line. I totally love Dr. Webber and Meridith together, he helps her cut through her crap and see things in a different light. I have been wondering what specialty Meridith would declare and never thought of general surgery, but that makes so much sense... instead of focusing just on one thing, she gets to spread her wings in general surgery... smart, and fitting - feels like full circle. Overall fantastic episode... love, love this show.

OK, I am going to go out on a limb here & say I support Owen 100% in what he said. She DID kill their baby. I understand her fear of having children after she saw her own father die right before her eyes, but I personally am strongly prolife, so if she did not want children at all, I really feel she should have a more permanent form of birth control, say having her tubes tied. I might get some flack for that, but who cares. I do see where this relationship was doomed after the pregnancy/abortion & Cristina playing with Zola at the party was just the nail in the coffin. Had there never been a possibility of a child in their relationship, that scene holding Zola probably wouldn't have pushed Owen over the edge like it did.

I'm glad they showed an actual inoperable tumour, instead of the usual inoperable but we figure out how! It was more realistic. I thought Owen had a right to be angry about what Cristina and Teddy pulled, but it's made harder by the fact that Teddy has a reasonable reason to be mad. I also think it's completely unfair of Owen for the rest of it- does he not remember how in their early relationship Cristina went through hell to help him- he literally choked her! And their apartment was Owen's choice, so it's really not her decision where they live. And about the baby thing, it's like he didn't hear meredith at all. It is not healthy for a baby to be born by a woman who doesn't want her. He can't force Cristina to have a baby.
But this is just proves why the If/Then episode is so stupid. Ellis was mean because she was Ellis, not because the Chief left her, and the Chief literally just said that in the episode.

Love the happy family scenes. I look forward to more moments between Meredith, Derek and Zola.
I hope Mark does ditch Julia and goes back to Lexie. It's only their fate. I can't see her with anyone else other than Alex.
Speaking of Alex, why did he move in with Jackson and April? He's better off at the house with Lexie, Meredith, Zola and Derek. I'm glad Jackson and April are going, but him moving in with them is not consistent in my opinion.
Owen's words of "you killed our baby" were tragic. Yes, things do tend to go Cristina's way, but she made a choice not have children years ago. How dare he judge her for that. They're gonna be the talk now that everyone in Meredith's house knows of her pregnancy and abortion. He has no right to treat her like a doormat. I have to agree with Cristina about Teddy too. I like their student-teacher relationship and Owen trying to break them is atrocious.
