Desperate Housewives Review: Orson did WHAT?!

by at . Comments

For the most part, I felt that "Get Out of My Life" was a snooze fest. I couldn’t keep from yawning at the tired old storylines and even absurd moments. This all changed in the very final minutes of the installment, though.

We found out that Orson was the culprit who sent Bree the unexplained and very familiar mysterious notes. It was also revealed that he has been following her since last summer and was lurking nearby on the night of the dinner party and was even there in the woods on that unforgettable night. He knows... everything!

Return of Orson

In many ways, Desperate Housewives reminds me so much of Pretty Little Liars. Thankfully, though, the writers of DH don’t keep us waiting forever for such major secrets to unravel. I actually love the huge reveal that it was Orson all along and the viewers are in the know, while the residents of Wisteria Lane remain in the dark. What about you? Are you satisfied with Orson as the creepy culprit?

While we did get a major answer to one of our many questions, we are still left to wonder what’s going to happen in Maine. Also, what is Orson’s ultimate plan, as he continues to spin his web of lies and keep Bree from her friends?

Elsewhere: Mrs. McCluskey, who is the frontrunner in the Desperate Housewives death pool, found out that her battle with cancer is still raging. I’m thinking that this storyline will be what brings all of the ladies back together again. Hopefully, they’ll be able to unite and figure out the reasoning behind Orson’s devious games because I’m dying to know if it’s really all just out of love for Bree.

All of the other storylines felt like filler to me. In fact, it was hard to care when Ben was having chest pains and ended up in the hospital. We hardly know him and rarely see him as is. As expected, Renee paid off Ben’s debt for him, but I’m betting that Ben’s financial woes are far from over.

Meanwhile, I got that Lynette was enjoying her freedom, but found it hard to believe that she really didn’t want the twins back at the house. It just felt so out of character for her, and I couldn’t believe she was seriously that crushed that her kids needed to move back home.

Who didn’t guess that Susan would try to meddle and find out who the father of Julie’s baby was? Then again, who guessed that Porter was the father?!? I can honestly say that I didn’t see that one coming. I thought it was rather predictable, though, for Lynette to accept the idea of Julie wanting to give the baby up for adoption while Susan wanted her to keep the child. With Porter fighting to raise the baby on his own and with Susan’s support, I could see why Julie was so upset with her mother.

Of course, Gaby continued to struggle with being a mom and helping out at the office while Carlos was still in rehab. As she selfishly kept Roy from making up with Mrs. McCluskey, I couldn’t help but wonder how she would feel once she finds out how about Mrs. McCluskey’s health. Sure, Gaby was just being Gaby and couldn’t possibly have any idea, but you’d think that she would be able to take care of her kids on her own by now.

So, what did you think of "Get Out of My Life"? Were you surprised by the huge reveals tonight about Orson? Will Julie change her mind about her pregnancy? Who else would you like to see visit Wisteria Lane one last time?

I so don't like Susan. The other commentators are right, she has always been annoying but this is taking it to the extreme. On the one hand, I'd like to see Porter raise the baby on his own, but Susan shouldn't be involved, since that is what Julie's wishes were. ORSON! Is it wrong I still hope he gets together with Bree? I mean, even after this episode?

Orson has always been a physco and yes we still watch this junk =)

I'm so glad this show is ending, it's been years since it has been falling flat. The Orson storyline is beyond stupid and he just annoys the crap outta me, whenever I saw him giving smirks or having this ''macho/you're gonna get what you deserve'' attitude I just found myself rolling my eyes, he's not fit for the part.

Ugh, to be honest the Orson-is-evil plotline seems like a flat retread of countless other plots on the show. I am beyond disappointed. How many psychopathic boyfriends has Bree had now? George, Chuck and now Orson? Orson and Bree were a great couple, it seems whenever the writers want a new spin on things they make Orson the villain. Tiring to be honest. And I wanted a better mystery black-mailer. Someone that would BAM, hit me in the face with shock like Mary Alice faking her own death, not Orson being a stalker. The only redeeming aspect of the episode was Julie and Porter- so far, romantically, Julie has been impossibly boring with her choices so for the writers pick someone who is already likeable for her was a smart move. But seriously, where does Bree even go from here? The only option I can see now is the handyman flying back from wherever to save her. And I'm guessing they'd make him evil too, if they had the time...

So I'm guessing Orson didn't kill Chuck. If he did, it would have been part of the montage. That means that someone else must have done it. The candidates are: • Paul (unlikely as he is in jail)
• Tom (unlikely as he doesn't have the balls)
• Carlos (unlikely as he was drunk all night and has an alibi at the Police Dept.)
• Karen (She's got bigger things to worry about)
• Andrew (He isn't supposed to know, but then again, Orson wasn't supposed to know either...)
• Ben (I doubt Ben would care THAT much about Bree's situation)
• Mike (Most likely candidate, but still out of character) I'm going to go with Mike, but Andrew is my 2nd choice with Andrew being third. Hopefully, it's an even bigger twist we couldn't have expected.

all right, Orson wrote the letter but did he also killed Chuck?

Orson must have killed Vance. I wonder why it wasn't in the montage.

As Desperate Housewives wraps up everything for the May series finale, I gotta say this...Carlos, Julie, Orson and Renee are the ones that keep me watching and tuning in. As for the other characters on the show...BOTH as if and no way!!!!! I TRULY AGREE with Nina...Susan is SO ANNOYING!!!!! But, to me, Susan was always annoying. But, lately, she has gotten EVEN WORSE!!!!! Also, I think that Carlos and Gaby have gotten BORING AND STALE as a married couple. So, hey, here's an idea...since Katherine (another FAVORITE character of mine played by the VERY FABULOUS Dana Delany) is coming back for the series finale, I think that the show's writers should convert Katherine back to men (or whatever) and hook her up with Carlos!!!!! H-E-L-L-O!!!!! Remember, the idea of Carlos and Susan as a couple didn't exactly work out. And, the countdown/race to the May series finale continues..........

I was completely floored to find out that Porter Scavo at of all the other guys on the lane is the father of Julie's baby. She could have done way better than him.But I knew once the father got involved that Julie was ultimately going to be outnumbered on her adoption decision.I really hope that Julie doesn't give her baby up. With Orson I was truly surprised that he was the evil culprit.I never liked Orson, and I'm not really surprised that he was following Bree.Being psychotic is in his genes.I just hope for Bree and the girls that she doesn't end up the dead housewife.I hope its not Karen either I love her character.
