I thought this episode was the natural progression of a Dair relationship. After all, it was a Chair fan that said it would be stupid for Blair to suddenly blurt out her undying or non existent feelings for Dan while every episode admitting that she still loves Chuck. I'm still willing it that it was Georgina's husband that made a copy and posted the video to the GG website, but I know it's wishful thinking.
P.S Even though I'm a Dair fan, Chuck is the closest analogy to Rhett from GWTW. That said, I can see some aspects of Dan with Rhett, such the constant helping and teased relationship between them. In that respects, I vote for Damon Salvatore as Rhett with the explicit references (no brainier).

Serena's mad that Dan lied; that Dan didn't understand the extent of Blair/Serena. And yeah she could imagine Dan was over Blair, since he was the best man at her wedding and Blair loves Chuck. Serena rocked the shit out of this episode!
Dan was pretty cool, too, for Dan. He actually didn't play cuckold and stood up for himself. *woah!* Actually like that he's manipulative now; tryna get what he wants, any means possible!
Blair; didn't care. It's like one actress is playing four or five roles.
Charlie: ugh; bring back IVY :(
Chuck/Serena/Dorota closet scene: priceless!
Eleanor: priceless!
Dowry: has a price, LOL!

@rbd32 i don't think serena was mad at dan because he loves blair i think she's mad because when she asked her where blair was he lied. and though she knows for sure that dan is in love with blair you can't force her not feel hurt at all its just natural plus i think she's somewhat jealous.

@ snooze fest: you got it all wrong. Blair was Scarlett, Nate was Ashley and Chuck was Rhett, I mean Rhett Buttler was too baddass to be a Nate or a Dan.
It's clear to me that Dan sent the video (which doesn't make him baddass but selfish and OOC). People with doubts need to watch that last scenes again.
Although Nate and real Charlie "Lola" are cute, it doesn't look good that Nate was so nochalant towards Blair situation, is ok if he's not living under her spell but a little more concern would be appreciated. And the characters themselves were making fun of the dowry, it's like "why is it there if not even the characters take it seriously?"

I mean, is really hard for me to even write a good review since the show is so decadent right now. It's too much drama, and even more, unbelievable drama, even for an Upper East Sider.
"Days of our lives" much? Joey Tribbiani should hand over his SOAPY award to Safran!
Writers are really messing everything up. Dair is awesome. Chair is good too. And they are ruining EVERYTHING. Is very difficult for me to try and follow up with the SLs, care about the characters when they tend to act so... OUT OF CHARACTER (enter Blair). Trying to make everything fit with duc tape... it's just horrible. Horrible writing.
I'm not a shipper of anyone anymore. That's how mess up this show has become. I mean, the episodes are OK, but are not coherent altogether.

cont...Realistically, If Blair claims to love Chuck so much, all of these pointless obstacles would make no difference, they are not clever or reasonable at all. The writers need to wrap up this relationship or stick with it, because it's contradictory as shit. That being so, I don't feel even a slight bit of pity for Chuck. So he finally understands what it's like to be turned away for no good reason at all, big deal.
Overall I like where Gossip Girl is headed, Dair was my favorite part of the episode, and Dorota in the closet. I just want them to close the door on Chair or whatever! So we can get back to the episodes that aren't based solely on one relationship.

I don't understand why Serena is angry/surprised at Dan's non-feelings towards her. She has read the book, heard from Rufus, and from Dan himself that he has feelings for Blair. He's just supposed to drop everything because she's come to the realization that although they haven't dated since high school, he is the one for her? ...

Once again I liked the episode, but it wasn't solid. At all. The thing that pulled this particular charade was most of the actors, specially Penn, Leighton and Ed.
The SLs are still stupid -why would Dan send the tape and how will that affect his relationship with Blair?-, Chuck being overly good and Serena just being... Serena? I gotta tell you, until the last minute I tought she was a complete a*hole to B at the hotel. Then, when I found out she didn't really send the tape I was glad. I still think that Dan didn't send it either.
I looooved all the Dair scenes. Yet I'm still surprised on how stupid Blair has become. You can't possibly be so dumb not to realize that Dan has feelings for you!
I liked how Dan stood up for himself! I WAS ABOUT TIME TO DO IT. B needed to get back to earth and start thanking him for all the stuff he had to put up with.

I actually wished this show was not about the hook ups so much as I really enjoyed the friendship between Chuck and Dan. They were great together. Hmm Dan sure gets around..maybe he is hooking up with everyone for the scoop for his book.
@Meep I'm a fan of Duck too! Those three make the show for me.

also i agree with one of the commenter here that says if blair ends up with dan then the whole season or even the whole chuck and blair professing their love will be pointless. i mean why would the writers go through all this trouble of will they be together or not if blair will end up with dan.
it seems to me that rufus already knows that lola is the real charlie rhodes after all ivy already came clean to rufus. so i'm curious how this storyline will unfold.
lastly, i love that lily and eleanor are like best friends just like serena and blair.

I was a little shocked this ep only scored two 1/2 stars. DAIR and G pulled GG out of the drain it's been living in this season. DAIR were hilarious, expecially at the dair port and giving the greasys to that girl. I couldn't care less about Lola/Nate... and I simply awwed at the dair hug. I really don't like Serena and LOVED all DAn's lines including 'doesn't anyone include Serena?" I mean it does. SERENA GET IT THRU YOUR THICK BRAIN - DAN HAS MOVED ON FROM YOUR ANNOYING ASS - AND HIS SCENES WITH B ARE SO MUCH MORE ENTERTAINING! As for Chuck I did feel for him, and I do feel for the chair fans who have waited so long for a reunion and yet getting nothing except crap explanations. I have seen some amazing spoiler pics on tumblr at the moment and I can't wait to see the next eps for that reason. I don't care if chair do become engame - I just hope the writers keep doing an amazing job with dair like they showed they could do with this ep. G was GREAT too.
I have to say that in the beginning of the series I was all about Chair but since the end of last season all I've wanted is Dair but after tonight I've decided that I love both. Dan and Chuck were amazing tonight.

@anonymous, yeah I realize they are royalty but didn't the Waldorfs have someone go over the contract..why would they have agreed to such a ridiculous amount when they made such a big deal about where she had the baby etc.

haha Georgina we know is sociopathic...yes because the OLD WRITERS made her that way. These new writers make her= desperate, pathetic, and boring. I don't think she is fun anymore. At least give her something to hide about. The entire episode we knew what she was doing. In S1 "Desperately Seeking Serena," we had no clue what she was doing for a good few episodes.

come on tv fanatic 2.5?! that's pretty low i'll give it at least a 3 or 3.5 this may not be a terrific episode but decent. so it's given that dan was the one who send in that video? anyways, even last week i knew that it was dan who send in that video and how dare dan blame chuck for the video!!!!ugh i hated dan more and more each episode!! i think it was classy of Serena to take the blame for the video..she really loves chuck as brother and may i say that she really is the BIGGEST chair shipper there is.
SO TO ALL CHAIR SHIPPERS OUT THERE WE SHOULD NOT HATE ON SERENA BECAUSE SHE'S ON OUR SIDE!!!!!YAY!!!:)
