Legally Blair is married to Louis but Louis is not married to Blair. If they were married in Europe, stay apart will be enough to divorce.
The married couple has to live under same roof.

the writers should have a booty camp to watch the show from season 1 up to now,, maybe then they will realize what to do next,,, were going in circles,, and this by far is the worst season unless they don't correct what their doing.

Having a legal background myself and instinctively analysing situations: Blair "may" use Dan to get her divorce from Louis considering that Dan wrote the vows and not Dan. Anyone else agree???

No. Bows don't mean anything in ''legal talk'' since lots of grooms hire writers to write their bows and make them more.. poetic.

@ --A: Ohh, that´s an ending I´d love! Their banter is great and not so diffrent from Dair. But Duck at least has sexual chemistry!
After rethinking last episode´s ending, I´m really disappointed that Blair didn´t run off with Serena! Now that would be something original, awesome and would reestablish their friendship as the most important relationship on gg. It´d be the single, greatest moment of the show!

Bring back, mid-season 3 couplings! Serenate and Chair! These couples were fantastic (there was also Danessa, but Vanessa left the show so that make that difficult... unless...:D). The show works best when its couples going against others, not each other. In the first two seasons it was entertaining because they had to deal exterior problems that high school had caused, on top of their own relationship problems. And these relationship problems weren't the all-consuming-be-all-to-end-all aspect of the show. I got the impression from the show that Serenate and Chair have always been the endgame in mind, because not only are they the NJBC(non-judgmental breakfast club) but that's what felt truest to the original characters

Season 3 finale broke everyone's heart when Chuck slept with Jenny, and never got the chance to propose to Blair. At most we thought they would get back together by the mid-season finale in season 4, the season finale at the very latest. But all of a sudden Blair can only be an independent woman without Chuck, so therefore- even though they both acknowledge that they are right for each other, and that they are meant to be together season (4 episode 9)- they have to stay apart. Then queue the out-of-the-blue never-before-seen similarities between a couple that is just as wrong as Chuck and Serena being together, Dan and Blair.

Blair has had a severe dislike for Dan ever since season one, the progression into friendship can be understandable considering she has grown up, but that does not mean she has to have a romantic relationship with him. (Maybe here the writers should be reminded that Serena is the harlot of the show, not Blair.)The writers are going in circles, can they really not come up with a story-line for Chair that has them working together as a couple. The reason nobody likes Louis, other than the frenglish, and are not happy with Blair's decision to marrying him (because of a "pact" with god... seriously)is because he has nothing that ties him to the main aspects of the show, the aspects that had made us fall in love with it in the first place. Other than having a title, which Blair has been able to get before(only to have her see it's Chuck she really wants- beginning of season 2), Louis is a very pointless character-otherwise known as a plot device to keep the shows strongest couple apart.

Then onto Serenate, where did they go?!?!? After 2 and half seasons of seeing Nate pine after Serena, and Serena's relationships failing, they finally get together only to have them break up by the end of the season. Thanks to none other than the Humphreys interference. How many time does Serena's relationship with Dan have to fail, before the both realize (and at some point in season 4 acknowledge- 4x12) that they won't work out. Her character is a bit of a flake for the amount of times she pushes the right guy away to "find herself". But together Serenate have great chemistry(4x7 for one of the many examples). We miss them, a great part of the first couple seasons was that Nate wanted to be with her but never could, and she was too preoccupied with being a good friend to Blair. Don't lose the anymore of your luster Gossip Girl and bring back what made this show great to begin with!

A, after reading the books first, I'm actually surprised that Dair is bigger in TV fandom than Duck. Duck is book canon. LOL
Then again, Chair in the books is nothing like it is in the TV series... the OTP of the books is definitely the Blair/Nate/Serena triangle, but on the show, that didn't even last a full season!
I don't know why I have this crazy idea that Chuck and Dan well end up together like in the books... even though it well be interesting if they do---

@ Ace: she didn't say she was looking for places to get divorced, Dan asked her that (this dialogue is all for comedic purposes). What we don't know right now is Blair's answer to that. And she may as well have known about the Dominican Republic because her father is a lawyer and her stepfather too, or she might actually made a research, we just don't know at this point.
