Even tho I am not Elena's biggest fan, I kind of feel sorry for her being this doppelganger and understanding that this whole thing with her descendants also being in the hands of Klaus will never end. Its also kind of bad that all of them were sitting and just deciding on Elena's fate without her actually being there...and having no say

Another good episode. I was thrilled to see Elijah back in action! It was also wonderful seeing Damon and Stefan spend some time together. Not to mention watching them interact with the other dysfunctional brothers Klaus and Elijah. The love/hate relationship between Damon and Stefan is one of the most interesting aspects of the show. Having said that, Damon is my favorite character and I'm also a hard core Delena fan so I want Elena to ultimately choose Damon. But, I still like Stefan and enjoy his character. That's why Matt potentially becoming a love intrest for Elena is so annoying. This love triangle doesn't need to turn into a love quadrangle. The twist at the end with Klaus' mother was fantastic, and I can't wait to see what the immortals are going to do now that they're all reunited.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks either doppelganger would have the same fingerprints as Elena. Wouldn't their fingerprints still be unique as with identical twins?
As for the killer, Matt doesn't take Vervain, does he? Couldn't he be compelled to kill these Council members? Question is, who would be doing the compelling? Klaus? If so, why? Are we going to get a new villain or is the OW more evil than the backstory lets on?
Still have no idea what Meredith is up to or why she was never shown if she's been a Council member all along.
Great episode, overall. I found it interesting that all four dinner guests have been in love with a Petrova at some point.

Loved that episode, was on tenderhooks the whole time! I laughed at the note Damon left Elijah - xoxo - I thought first Georgie, now Damon, will we ever know who the real gossip girl is??!!!

Rebecca and Elijah's plan to make sure Klaus is always alone was to kill Elena. I think Elijah's real plan is to turn her into a vampire so Klaus can't make anymore hybrids. Love the show! Love the characters and the actors! Love Elena! Don't know how anyone can love the show and not love Nina!

Your theory that maybe Jeremy killed those council members makes sense. Maybe Klaus compelled him to do it? And the writers didn't want to tell us if or when Jeremy will return. So maybe you're right.

God, is everything the most people are caring about is which fanatic couplefanbase will win.
I love the part when Niklaus told both (by the way very adorable) Salvatore brother that Elena could never be really happy if she`s having a Salvatore at her side. That`s very true. She wants to stay human, have kids and grow old. That isn`t possible with a vampire. Neither Damon nor Stefan. I think that Damon will move into another girl (and i think this will be Rebecca) to stay away from Elena. Even if he will hurt her. She earns to have the normal life she want. The only loophole the whole stuff has is like the one in the stupid books. Elena gets there a spell in form of a rose and this spell could turn a vampire back into a human. But it is her choose who she wants to turn..So Elena, be careful what you want..
FANTASTIC EPISODE BY THE WAY..I`M JUST A SHIPPER FOR THE SALVATORES..Best bromance ever..

i feel like if Claus' mom was up to no good she would have killed Bonnie and her mom....loved seeing all the boys at dinner, Elijah looks much sexier this time around and i def think Claus' other brothers wont be so quick to forgive

I was glued to the tv the entire time. It was like shocking moment after shocking moment after shocking moment. And Yes, I would have loved to have been sitting at that table with all those hot vamps. The family reunion I didn't see coming but it was kind of awesome and left me feeling all unsure. I don't know where I stand anymore. I don't know where my allegiances lie...I don't know anything!

They do have a crossbreed...it's Klaus, the hybrid. It's a pretty big storyline on the show.

I know that because of fingerprint everyone thinks it Katherine who is killing everybody, but I don't belive so. she is not so... sneaky. she plays games when she has audience, and she wouldn't go around killing people dramatically, unless she wanted to make a point. and she does not.
but if I think of the fingerprints... what about original doppelganger?

I do believe that mother came to forget and forgive. because, originals have (weird but strong) fellings of love. even klaus wants his family reunited, he just wanted to make everything perfect for that moment (as in killing everyone who stood in his way). and OW, is a mother after all, so... I don't believe that she is planing any kind of revenge on klaus.

Who is the mysterious killer? It's is pretty clear, isn't it? Katherine. Elena was suspicious because of the fingerprints.

Why do people think that it would be strange for Stefan & Elena to get back together now that Paul Wesley's wife is on the show?!? As far as I knew she wasn't a contender for a love story with Stefan. Also, his wife watches the show! I think it's strange that anyone would think that just because actors are married that all of a sudden they can't have relationships with anyone on a show or in a movie! It's called... their job. It's not like they would be having an affair. I have a suspicion that the people posting this are Delena fans! :-/

Oh, I must have missed that episode. It would be nice if theirs another child out there and its a guy to give us more eye candy to look at and bring more spice to the Elena story. Also I hope they bring the orginal werewolf family in the mix or maybe a cross breed with a vamp and a werewolf. I just love this show!

How on earth is the mother alive if she is a witch that could not become a vampire...witches are not immortal. And Klaus thought he killed her.
I am also getting confused about the doppleganger stuff....so, the blood of Tatia was used to turn the OVs once dad staked them? Did the doppleganger blood have something to do with Klaus not being able to turn into a werewolf? My head spins sometimes trying to keep it all straight!
Review, how could you not mention that Stefan said "I love her, Damon"?!?!?!?!?! It's confirmed...he still cares about Elena! He is NOT just a ripper! Though, I don't know why, but I am starting not to care about Stelena anymore...I prefer Delena which was SO not how I felt Season 1..
Also, I still really, really want to know where Kol and Finn were during the story about how the OVs came to be.
Lastly, AWESOME acting by Joseph Morgan. So, so good. Especially when confronted by his mother... just excellent!

I always think it's funny how 'the olden days' are portrayed by guys with long messy hair. They had combs you know - and they washed often. They took pride in their appearance. Stop with the grubby hair please. It's annoying.

Back in Nov 11, I predicted the big bad witch would show. Who knew she turn out to be Glinda the good witch. Not me !
Still not enough to keep me watching this soap.
Stefan, " I love her Damon. " Ruin my favorite character (Stefan) just to keep the awful triangle going. What's next the reveal as to why it has happen twice. That the Sal Bro's were linked into falling for the Petrova bloodline. To keep the Original Bro's free of such nonsense.

I was pretty sure it was going to be OW in the coffin, but what exactly is she? I mean she was a witch, Klaus killed her ... did he turn her? Could he turn her? I know Gloria lived a pretty long time but even she a aged a little in 80 years, this chick looks pretty good for a thousand!

Elena and Jeremy are biological cousins, their fathers are brothers. But, the Petrova line is carried through Elena's biological mother, Isobel.
I also do not think that Katherine would have killed Bill Forbes or tried to kill Alaric. She would've known about Alaric's ring, for one. Second, she wouldn't have known who the medical examiner is unless someone told her, nor do I think she would stake him.
