NCIS Finale Teaser: Ducky to Play Key Role?

at . Comments

With NCIS officially renewed for next fall, talk has turned to how the current season will end. Long story short: Get ready for an episode featuringa major cliffhanger and binding together the lives of multiple characters.

Would you expect anything else from NCIS?

We know that Ziva's relationship with her mentor and friend will be explored this spring and factor heavily into the finale, which is being painted as a character-centric puzzle in which various pieces come together.

How will the other characters fit in?

Gibbs and Duck

With Palmer's wedding on the horizon, it looks as though Ducky may end up in a compromising situation, as well, based on recent comments from executive producer and show-runner Gary Glasberg.

Glasberg is quoted in EW as saying:

“Ducky’s going to have his hands full. We’ve got a situation where there will be injured and bodies and he’ll have a lot on his plate. That combined with Palmer’s wedding ... there’s a lot going on."

"Ducky is an integral part of this team and we’ve figured out a fun story for him. I’m excited to see how David McCallum embraces it and how the whole team participates in it. I view suspense and edge-of-your-seat as fun.”

DO NOT KILL OFF DUCKY!! This is the ONLY show that I watch each week. The rest of what is offered on ANY channel is crap. Again please DO NOT KILL DUCKY.

please keep NCIS like it is. I love the characters like they are. if you kill off any of the main characters you will ruin the show. Palmer can not take the place of Ducky. Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, McGee, Abby and Ducky are all necessary. Vance can go with no impact to the show.

Please DO NOT KILL DUCKY!!!!!!!!My daughter and I are crying over here!
We LOVE this show, and everyone on it. If you need to kill somebody- make it the Director- VANCE. You cannot kill such a loved character, Ducky. It would destroy Jimmy, and Abbey, not to mention Gibbs.
Did any one ever hear the phrase, "Do not fix what is not Broken!" You almost lost me when you killed Mike Frank-Do not kill Ducky! Please do not change the number one show on TV. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am so sad. Please save Ducky!!!!!!- Jimmy will save him!-you'll see....

Get rid of Jamie Lee Curtis. If Gibbs has to have a date he can do better than her. I don't care for her character at all. Keep Ducky. Hated to see Mike Franks go.

I love ducky probaly more than anyone here, or equal ( no need to get defensive), but just throughing it out there what if ducky was murdered in some unclear way, like possion, but I do agree that they should get rid of Vance.

Ducky and Abby is my favorite. I really don't care for the foreign lady on there.

The only acceptable reason for Ducky to leave the show is because David McCallum wants to retire and I would never want to prevent him from living his life as he chooses BUT my gosh, don't kill him! That's too terrible for words!

Ducky is the glue that holds things together. His character is central to all of the plots. We need Ducky~!

Kill off Vance. If Ducky or any of the other crew is killed off, then I too will be gone. PERIOD !!!

I cried about ducky if he's killed off I will no longer watch the show.DO NOT KILL DUCKY OFF.

NCIS Quotes

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
