Grey's Anatomy Round Table: "Support System"

Welcome back to TV Fanatic's Grey's Anatomy Round Table!

Our official Grey's Anatomy review broke down last week's episode, "Support System," in great detail. Now, TV Fanatic staff members Courtney Morrison, Sean McKenna and Christina Tran have assembled for their weekly Round Table discussion to further debate and dissect the goings on at Seattle Grace/Mercy West.

Read their answers below and weigh in with yours!

1. What was your favorite scene or quote from the episode?

Courtney: Sandra Oh killed it in this episode with pretty much every scene. If I had to choose one, it would be her bathroom scene.

Sean: "Beef with the Chief." Sloan did a pretty decent job as the chief and it was a nice change rather than seeing Webber or Derek fill in. The guy really brings a humor even when he's being serious. Rise to the occasion, Derek. Rise.

Christina: Cristina: "I'm supposed to be studying for my boards, the most important exam of my life. And instead, I'm locked in the bathroom crying over a boy." Been there, done that... then again, who hasn't?

2. Meredith is prepared for the boards. Who else is bound to pass or who is going to fail?

Courtney: Of course Grey is prepared, she's Ellis' daughter! Cristina is a machine and Alex is the underdog, so I'm voting that both of these pass. Kepner? Not so sure about.

Sean: I hope they all pass so we can see a brand new shift in story lines for the characters. Although, for some reason I could see Avery not passing. Not because he isn't smart, but maybe he doesn't test well. Plus, there would be a lot of drama because of his family legacy.

Christina: I am fairly certain that Meredith, Alex and Cristina will all pass. However, I'm not so sure about Kepner and Avery.

3. Was Webber wrong in going against Chief For The Day Sloan?

Courtney: Nope! Rules are meant to be broken. Webber knew what he was doing, he was the chief for how many years. What he did saved a life, even if it wasn't pretty. I think Sloan realized it too.

Sean: Well, he shouldn't have gone against the chain of command, but what if he hadn't saved the man's life? I guess if anything Sloan learned that being chief doesn't mean everything has to be perfect.

Christina: Ultimately, Webber was right, but I still think he could have handled himself much better in a more professional manner. He could have tried again to make his case instead of sneaking around behind Sloan's back then blasting him in front of everyone. Sure, Sloan needed the lesson, but I didn't like the way Webber handled the situation.

4. Should Cristina forgive Owen and try to fix her marriage? Can they even make it work after this?

Courtney: This is Cristina Yang we are talking about. She deserves better than a man who purposely wants to hurt her by having an affair. I think they will work it out because Owen is her husband and she loves him, but the road is not going to be easy.

Sean: She can forgive him if she wants but I think their relationship should be over. He cheated on her and that's clearly in the wrong. My only problem with the whole situation is I didn't buy him doing it to hurt her because of the baby. I knew he was hurt over that but I find it more believable that he was lonely and wanted the attention and affection from someone when he wasn't getting it from Cristina. Still a bad choice on his part and he'll have to live with that decision, but that makes more sense to me. Sorry guys, their time is done.

Christina: Tough one! They both (more so, Cristina) need a break from one another. I feel like their bickering has been nonstop all season long, and am not sure that I care either way if they work things out or not. Just give them a break!

5. Who is your favorite couple on Grey’s Anatomy right now?

Courtney: The obvious answer - Meredith and Derek. The two have become such a perfect fit and are enjoyable to watch in a non-annoying way. Runner up goes to Bailey and Ben. Gotta love a couple who likes to "salsa."

Sean: Bailey and Ben. For now they are drama free and only really have to worry about getting it on... I mean salsa dancing.

Christina: Easy. Merder. Always have been, always will be.

Best couple: MERDER all the way!!!

Yeah yeah would about the next one this one sucked the next one I wacthed it and it ruled

Favorite scene: Callie and Arizona eating lunch in the meeting room because Callie doesn't want to eat lunch with Arizona's exes. LMAO. Those two are hilarious and adorable. "I bet it's going to be long" " MmmHmm, real long" HAHA!

I think this episode was badly written, very unrealistic. Christina and Owen are a pain to watch, and not at all like adult doctors.. People cheat all the time and forgive each other or not, and move on. The kind of self indulgent drama that was written for Christina and even Owen, was really way over the top, unnecessary. If her character could dial down the self important pity party, and get over herself, this series would be more believable.

1.Mer kissing Der,Der groping Mer's bottom just as he's paged and his 'Oh dammit'. They were always going to get interupted.
2.I'd love to say Kepner or Avery.I think if SO returns it'll be Cris(an absolute shockerif it happens)if not her, maybe Mer(another shocker)
3.Sloan had no authority to claim to be the CoS.So how could he overrule a respected, general surgeon who is an exCoS with 10,000+ surgeries under his belt?
4.The wounds are still to raw from their hurting each other. If SO returns for S9, maybe this couple will eventually forgive each other.
5.MerDer. They are the reason from S1,episode 1, first scene, that I love GA.

1.- -Meredith: Owen's there. -Cristina: Yeah, Owen is here. He's sick too. - Meredith: Oh, I bet he is.
- Meredith: Cristina um, I know that you don't want to talk about it. 'm here so, I just want to stay on the phone with you until you want to hang up. I'm here. I'm here.
Mer and Cristina on the phone was good, I like that Meredith has taken a step back, and given Cristina the space to come to her if she wants. 2.- April fail. 3.- Mark as chief good for comedy, he'd been kind of an ass, but Webber brought him down a peg or two which was required in the end he was getting a big head. 4.- There are many much of a mess, their time is breaking. 5,- Meredith & Derek forever. Sandra Oh who i thought was amazing a couple years ago, Just isn't anymore, The Sandra Oh and Kevin McKidd scenes were redundant and dragged on too long.

I agree with Blu on the Owen&Cristina storyline: they both are victims and they both deserve better. I don't understand why people hate Owen so much. Can't see him as the bad person at all.

1. Cristina almost the whole epi / Zola & Mer holding hands (so cute!)/ Arizona lecturing Callie & Bailey
2. Avery, sorry!
3. Agree w/ Courtney
4. Hope they can fix it... Love this couple! Owen did wrong but Cristina is not a saint either...
5. Arizona & Callie!! So balance now & romantic, still going sexy & funny!

1. "that's you go to. really?" by Arizona. made me laugh out loud
2. i think alex will fail because he's late but i want avery to fail and disappear
3. greatest good for the greatest number, so no, but i agree with the reviewer-he should've handled it differently. as chief, he won't have gone for that. he tried to fire derek for doing that very thing to him.
4. break them up! they're toxic and i don't like them together!
5. calzona, without question. peppy, adorable, and romantic. love it!

I have a right as your wife to know what you did.

Every little kid knows the words to the song. The foot bones connected to the leg bone. The leg bones connected to the knee bone. In med school, you learn it's a little more complicated than that. The songs not wrong. Everything is connected.
