You have to remember that Booth oncelet Brennan thumbed was dead to catch a killer. He at least knows she is safe and being taken care of and he can concentrate getting Pelant without worrying about him going after Bones nd Christine. And if it was Booth that left Brennan ad took the baby I think she would have a harder time forgiving him than he will forgiving her. She at least had her Dad explain and not just took off. He had always been the more undestanding and rational when it come to felings. Brennan is actually showing a lot of faith here that he will be able to stop Pelant and bring her home. If she thught he coudnt solve it she would have had him go with her. But she knows its him who will be the only one who can bring Pelant down, along with her team.
Bring back Zack....he would be able to counteract Pelant.

I loved the show, was hard to see Booth just sit down and know he had to let them go. For Brennan, most mothers will do anything to protect their child, that's what she is doing. If you compare to reality, I think things have worked out for the best as they were left. The scariest thing is knowing that there are people out there in real life that can and do, do this very thing to people. They are so good with computers I just hope they are on our side.

this episode was so freaking hard to watch,so much so dat in my head i actually punched Pelant till d point of death,i felt so bad for Brennan nd Booth wiv poor Christin. And its just so sad bcos dey were just becoming a family, wiv their beautiful daughter and her father baby-sitting for them. I like the person that said Brennan wouldnt have survived in prison. Even the thought of her behind bars makes me shiver!!! i kinda prefer that she ran although it was sooo unlike Brennan,i actually expected her father to kill Pelant and not help her escape but i totally understand why she did it,i just feel bad for Booth though he looked so defeated. Damn Pelant!!!! Bones got its groove back with its season finale. i feel like dis season was just kinda ok nothing too special. But i'm soo happy it ended like dis. Its just like the Bones i used to love. I soo cant wait for when the bring Pelant down. I'm actually hoping that somehow Bones would appear from wherever she ran to,come back and solve t

Loved last night's show. I do, however, have a comment. Doesn't anyone, especially the FBI think there is just a little 'TOO' much evidence pointing toward Bones??? They don't see she is being handed to them on a silver plate. She is so meticulous and wouldn't be leaving a trail of crumbs like Hansel and Gretal. Certainly hope someone realizes it.
Can't wait for next season.
Bones is always a great show but this was the best. It also featured one of the show's most horrible murderers of all time. The hole he is digging for Brennan just keeps getting deeper. How I hope we get to see him suffer as much as he has tortured others.
Brennan's father stepped up and it made sense he helped her avoid jail as it would kill her to leave her daughter. I hope Booth gets that. Never has Bones been more vulnerable and touching. Emily does certainly deserve an Oscar, finally, for this show, this season and especially this episode.

Booth knows that the only way to protect Brennan and Christine is to make them invisible. Booth hates that he won't be there to protect them but if Max can't keep her safe could Booth? She didn't want to leave Booth, but she couldn't let Max take Christine by himself or stay in the house with her and put her in terrible danger. Pelant was in Christine's bedroom for heaven's sake!!!!

I admit I was expecting the same thing, but if Max did kill Pelant (and I'm sure he wants to very badly) it would leave Brennan guilty. He won't do it simply because he knows Bones must be proven innocent first and Booth can only do that from the system while knowing she is safe.
Cannot wait for Season 8 and to see Pelant get his due.
Enough with the Brennan bashing. She is not a coward, cold hearted "B", selfish or any of the other trash names. Brennan would not last 10 minutes in jail and everyone knew it. That's why Caroline messed up the search warrant...to give her time to get away. And Tamara (Cam) was so very good in this episode. The scene where she was just staring at the screen with the hair from Brennan's car and trying so very hard to keep from falling apart, was just, well words fail me.
Brennan could not tell Booth she was leaving. Not because she is a sneaky coward, but because Booth couldn't know. He would have been in a world of hurt if he knew and didn't try to stop her or tell the cops. AS Booth said to Max "I am the system". He has to be able to work in the system to nail Pelant.
HH did not "ruin" B&B's relationship any more than the relationship was ruined in the season 5 finale. In the end it will be strengthened. Looking forward to season 8 with great anticipation!

This was a tough show to watch. Pelant is one devious and nasty man and has done his best and sneakiest to get back at Bones and Booth setting them up to fall. Waiting for next season will be tough and rough, but I think in the end Pelant just what he deserves, death.

Wow, so many Brennan haters not thinking logically. Booth cannot know because otherwise will be aiding and abetting. He's got to be in the system to prove Brennan's innocence. And Max is right: with pelant's control of the system brennan will not survive.
I like the story. Pelant's technological reach is imaginary though. And the story telling is too rushed and disjointed. Still a great cliffhanger of a season end.

I thought it was sad when Brennan left. I know it will be hard for Booth n Brennan but i dont think shes being a bitch. She's doing what needs to be done.

I hope they won't just get back together straight away, I want him to let her know exactly what it felt like to have his daughter stolen away from him and left alone to clean up a mess she helped create because she couldn't do things by the book. If Brennan hadn't gone to see the lunatic on her own, Pelant wouldn't have had the chance to frame her. Now she's hurt Booth and taken his daughter away from him because she couldn't be away from her and didn't even trust him enough to keep them safe (not to mention TELL him they were leaving). Letting Max do it instead showed how little guts she had. They're never going to catch Pelant unless Brennan's there, so Brennan in her hyper irrational frenzy just helped the guy. I knew HH wouldn't be able to keep himself from ruining Booth and Brennan's relationship.

@jean exactly! so many fangirls and Brennan defenders are trying to make out that Booth will be ok with Brennan next season. Ummm in what universe.? She betrayed, lied and left him like her parents did to her. And she knows how that felt and yet she did that to the man she is suppose to love? Give me a fraking break. Instead of staying and clearing her name. She ran like a coward. And KIDNAPPED their child. So no Booth isn't going to forgive her and play happy families anytime soon when she returns.

I loved this episode. I was happy to see Booth beat the crap out of Pelant. When Bones comes back, I think Booth will have a tough time accepting that she took off with Christine and that she had kept secrets from him about seeing Ethan about the Pelant case behind his back. We may get some of that old chemistry come back as he keeps her at arms length for awhile.

100 % agree not only was this the best episode of bones but was also one of the best episodes of tv all year. i have always enjoyed bones very much but i had never considered it emmy/golden globe worthy. this episode proved that bones is one the best dramas on network tv by completing short season with a cliffhanger that will go down as one of the greatest ever
