Castle Casts an Antagonist for Beckett
Jack Coleman has been cast on yet another TV Fanatic favorite.
The actor - who has guest-starred on The Office, The Vampire Diaries and will play a role on Emily Owens, M.D. this fall - will appear on multiple episodes of Castle as a U.S. Senator who finds himself "in conflict" with Beckett, according to TV Line.
No premiere date has been announced for Castle Season 5 yet, but creator Andrew Marlowe has said it will pick up immediately after events on the May finale and that he's committed to exploring an actual relationship between Castle and Beckett.

I just hope the show hasn't "Jumped the Shark" so to speak. Often when this sort of thing happens show quality deteriorates significantly. Lets hope this doesn't happen to Castle.

This is absolutely epic news! It made my day!
Jack Coleman will no longer be on Emily Owens MD though. The creator tweeted that his part was recast.
