Gerard's pill popping reminds me of the fourth Harry Potter book where Mad Eye Moodie drinks the potion to not change into his original form. They're probably getting inspiration from that.

Is anyone noticing the grandpa is a pill popper at night around the supernatural? Plus the black powder from a few episodes back was something he could not cross. I think Grandpa is something supernatural maybe even a wolf and pills prevent the change. If that is the case, then there are going to be major issues within the Argent's. If he had the power to stop Alison's mom from the change and he didn't it will get ugly fast...

I have to say this is one of the best episodes so far. The whole time it kept me on my toes. When Scott's mom saw him turn my heart just broke, but I am looking forward to their conversation next episode about whats going on. To build off of the note to Allison, I don't believe her mother even wrote it. I think Gerard wrote it to get into Allison's head and pull her into what ever his whole plan is. Anyways, why would Allison's mom even want Gerard to read the note. It didn't seem like they were that close and it's not like that is her father. If anyone would read it I would think it would be Allison's dad. Also, what is Peter planning? Is he Scott's alpha again? Can't wait till the next episode and to see how everything is answered

Alison was the weakest bit for me. She's no Buffy, that's for sure and the actress is doing too much of the pouchy lip acting thing this season. Annoying.

@Rob, I gotta watch it again. Seemed like Victoria took Derek out rather easily because of the wolf bane she was using in the room. Katherine, Gerard has to be something supernatural. Remember he couldn't cross the powder Stiles layer down to keep the Kanima and its master trapped. Also, when Gerard was talking to Allison, did you noticed he had sharp teeth like fangs? A few episodes I noticed that when they showed him close up. Wolf? Vampire? The pills seem to be helping him/preventing him from transforming into something.

This episode was sooooo good! so many possibilities came out of it! Personally I think gerard is something supernatural himself and maybe the pills he used controls it? Scott now kind of working with gerard was surprising but i think the writers were right in doing it!
I don't know I just seem to have this feeling that its Derek who is going to die in the season finale out of the main cast which would realllyyyyyyyy suck :(. But i also don't want any of the new omega's to die either and by the looks of things in episode 2x11 I think one or possibly all of them might (This also sucks cause I was beginning to root for stiles and erica)
Season 2 has been the best so far so I can only imagine what season 3 is going to be like with 24 episodes!

This epi was the best so far this season. So many things were covered and tied together. Love how we finally found out Matt's motivation and why the swim team were his main target. I feel really bad for Allison. Her grandpa is totally manipulating her and using her mom's death to do so. I really hope Derek doesn't completely diss Scott for his betrayal...they really need to work together now that Gerard is the Kanima master. We all know he will be using the Kanima to take out all of the werewolves. I hope Peter Hale steps up and works with Derek to take Gerard out...he may just use Gerard to kill off the other wolves so he is left to be the Alpah. I guess we will see!
I'm still wondering what those freaking pills are for. I'm hoping Scott did take them or at least one so he can find Gerard's weakness...

I hope Derek remembers what Deaton said to him from the beginning. If he had trusted Scott from the beginning and had allowed Scott to trust him he would be a better Alpha and the 16 year old with a hero complex (Derek knows that much about him) might have told him about Gerard's blackmail. i am guessing that it is not a huge issue as the speech about running away derek makes in the previews seems to be to scott. that scene of his mother discovering was so sad...little concerned that when she saw derek & jackson at first she was scared but not what the hell is that...is it weird i felt bad for matt? and jackson..and alison because i kind of suspect gerard altered that note from victoria. i was also pleased to see the combined brain power of stiles and derek at work. anyone else suspect that peter might not be a part of gerad's plan?

I was pretty disappointed in Allison this episode. I understand why she went after Derek, but she is so easily manipulated by her grandfater it's ridiculous.
I was kind of shocked to know that Scott was feeding Gerard information this entire time. I understand why he did it, but kudos to the show for never actually showing him doing it and suprising us.
I think Gerard wants to use the kanima/Jackson to kill the werewolves. I wonder if there is a fight between him and Peter Hale coming up?

@ Silver Bullet. It was Derek who actually bit Allison's mom. If you rewatch "Raving" and turn the sound up. Right after Derek growls you can hear him bite her. They didn't show it because they wanted to shock us at the end of the episode when she stumbles out to Chris.

Hope we get to see another version of Derek the last two episodes, as he's been ... underwhelming considering he's an alpha. Hopefully the rage of Scott "betraying" him will fuel some ass-kickery on his part, instead of getting it handed to him all the time.

Also, does anyone have any ideas who actually bit Allison's mom? We all know it wasn't Derek, so who was it? I'm thinking it was Gerard. He is some time of monster, notice his fangs? I also believe Scott took his pills secretly when he handed the pill case back to him.

@ confused, Scott was working with Gerard because Gerard had threatened him a few episodes ago. Remember when he stabbed Scott and told him if he didn't do him a "favor", that he would kill his mom. This was by far the best episode yet. I love the music that was playing when Scott's mom found out he was a wolf. Very dramatic, and emotional. I felt bad for Scott because he put his head down in shame, probably felt resented by his mother. Derek knows that Scott helped Gerard so it will be interesting how he demonstrates his displeasure with Scott. Can't wait to see the new villians that will appear in season 3. These last 2 episodes are going to be epic!

I agree with Lo who said Matt was just in the right place at the right time.
The pill thing with Gerard has been bugging me all season but I totally called him being the master, he just had to go through Matt first, I don't know what he plans to do now.
And the alliance between him and Scott is so unpredictable, I hope it doesn't ruin Scott and Alison.
Scott's moms reaction was heartbreaking but I LOVED Scott, Stiles, and his dad together.
STILES WAS HILARIOUS TONIGHT & DEREK IS SO EFFING HOT.

Why oh why must there only be 2 episodes left ? This season charged ahead full throttle,like Julie Plec through a heard of Cattle.
I do not want it to end already !! It cant !!.This season has been Fantastic since it came back and it continues to make you 100% invested in whats going on.
Also I gave the Teen Wolf staff major props for coming up with an original idea like the Kanima,and not going with something we've all seen before like a Vampire or Witch being the other "Supernatural" on the show.

AND Scott has been feeding Gerard info the entire time! Did not see that coming. Now that Derek knows, I wonder how he'll react. I also want to know what those damn pills do! They showed Gerard again taking them and Scott handing them to him.
As far as Matt becoming the master, I think it was a right place, right time thing. Jackson came out of his house, seeking someone to follow. Matt just happened to be there and wanted to see what exactly Jackson was and could do.
I almost died over Stiles crawling on the floor and seeing his dad get hurt. And it'll be interesting to see how Scott's mom reacts from here on out.
