David Alpay to Give The Vampire Diaries the Old College Try
David Alpay has been cast in a recurring role on The Vampire Diaries Season 4.
The actor (The Tudors, The Borgias) will debut on the fourth episode of the fall as Professor Shane, an employee at the local university who believes in witchcraft and who shares a history with Bonnie's family.
The Vampire Diaries returns on October 11 and has fans very excited with another casting scoop:
Phoebe Tonkin will come on board as Hayley, a young woman with ties to Tyler. Look for that actress to first show up on Episode 3.

I hope we get more focus on Bonnie and witches this season, focusing on their origins like we had with vampires. AND ALSO GET BONNIE A LOVE INTEREST!!

This article only made me think of one thing - Can't wait for the 3 season of The Borgias!
LMAO! But despite being funny, it's also a bit sad ;-) Hope the writers catch some of the fan's frustration and try to make a better season...
We really enjoy the actors on this show, so even if the plot has holes bigger than volcanos, we will still watch :)
And I never thought it would come this far... but that's exactly what I'm doing since the second half of last season or so.

I'm reserving judgment on this season until it gets going and I actually see footage and episodes. Then again, it almost sounds like dear Kevin Williamson has been a little more involved in the writing, and he was the one involved with all of the incredible twists in season 1 and the first ep of S2. Kevin wrote at breakneck speeds with plot twists you never would've seen coming in your wildest dreams, and I really hope he's back. If he is, the show should go back to the series I loved that blew my mind.
