The Vampire Diaries Season 4 to Center Around Mysterious "Arc of Evil"
Has the excitement of Phoebe Tonkin joining The Vampire Diaries worn off at all yet? No?
You may continue celebrating, but do so with this warning: things are about to turn awfully dark in Mystic Falls.
That's what producer Julie Plec teased during an interview at this month's CBS Television Critics Association All-Star Party, cryptically saying of early episodes:
There is an overreaching arc of evil, and this year, we're doing something a little different in that we don't know or say who that is right away. The mystery is who is this evil because clearly it's something or somebody, and we don't know who it is. And so that's a question we'll be asking a lot in the first few episodes as we build up to our first... reveal of the season's bad guy.
We presume Plec is referring to the vampire hunter to be portrayed by Todd Williams. But it sounds like there will be a lot going on outside of this one new Mystic Fall resident, doesn't there?

Are you kidding! "we're doing something a little different in that we don't know or say who that is right away." Ummm, what about the time when they "hid" the identity of Klaus for how long?!
What Julie Plec says is just stupid and makes no sense. Im sorry but i want spoilers not pointless information.
PLUSSSS, we already know that this bad guy's name is Conner, played by Todd Williams. So yeah, pointless quote right there ^^ Ms Plec.

LMAO at Plec's comments about Bonnie: "...the actions that she will have to take in the premiere will put her in a very dark place....."
Prior to season 3, Julie Plec kept saying that Bonnie would have a new love interest, which turned out to be a joke, considering that there were flashback relationships with even more screen time. I'd love to get excited about the idea of a darker Bonnie, but for all I know, Bonnie in a "dark place" could just be code for Bonnie in the corner....again!

LOVEEEEE The vampire diaries. Cannot wait for season 4. Julie is the BEST! btw people who are being negative take note. Julie must be doing something right, TVD's has a season 4. Kevin and the Secret circle was cancelled. Keep up the GREAT work Julie!!!!

Man! constructive criticism is one thing : but some of the comments in this thread amount to nothing but insults... I love the show even if I don't agree with all their decisions.

This show had become so predictable and disappointing in surprised that it has high ratings. The actors are great ( except Elena) but the story line has to change!! Julie plec if ur reading this please do something!!

Oh really ,has she been watching her show !?..didn't they already do that in the CSI mess of a plot !.
every thing this woman says just makes no sense and instead of making me excited ,she makes want to watch the show less !.
