Move over, Todd Williams. You won't be the only hunter to show up on The Vampire Diaries Season 4.

In news first broken by Zap2It, Scottish actor Paul Telfer has been cast as Alexander, a vampire hunter from the 1100s who we'll meet via flashback and who will help shed new light on Claire Holt's Rebekah.

In another flashback, meanwhile, we'll watch Stefan navigate his way through World War II.

The Vampire Diaries Season 4 premieres on Thursday, October 11. We are just a tad bit excited for it.

is it me or he looks like taylor lautner?
kitty fuck you leave my bekah alone

@ below Oh that would be a change. characters have yet to die in this show before they overstay their welcome, become boring or are revived for a dozen of times.

I hope they don't give more insight on Rebecca just for her to get killed shortly thereafter.

yawn, who wants to be that the "new light on rebekah" is YET ANOTHER love story. Since with the amounts of misogyny and sexism in this show, females are not allowed to have any kinds of other plots.
