I don't understand watching a show on TV that was made as an action show, knowing that, and then complaining about it being too violent. There are 8pm shows that show just as much if not more violence than H50 ever has. There are other types of shows to watch. The show has a mixture of action, character developement, and humor. That's what it should be.
I thought the action was great. I'm not one who looks for TV as reality, so I enjoyed the episode without worrying that it might not actually happen. Loved Sang Min, glad to see him escape to be in a future episode sometime. I'm glad they finally did show Chin dealing with his wife's death, I was starting to worry about that myself. Another episode tonight.

A superb episode -- this is what happens when you have a superb cast to work with.... Said it from Day 1, this H50 cast is so loaded with talents and I just love how they here and there spotlight one or the other -- Chin was just magnificent and the choregraphy for the fight scenes -- WOW.... So realistic, I was in tears for Chin....And yes, looks like a perfect way to introduce a new lady in Chin's life... Bravo to the writers.... I love your show and how you bring in various episodes to spotlight one on the team -- gives them an opportunity to show everybody what they are made of...
A great great show --- please keep it going for years and years --- I'm in love!

So people say that this episode had too much violence. How can u expect not to be violent if in that prison were full of thugs, killers and murderers. They could never be softy, they are violent guys with thirst of revenge. Besides most crime procedural shows on TV they have lots of violence as well. What kind of no-violence will people wanted to have on last nite episode? Try to talk to prisoners not to riot and mutiny, if there were hundreds of them inside and the police could not handle all fo them at the same time? Everyone is against violence sure and we all prefer to have a non violent life. But they they are a team who fight crime and crime can be brutal and violent, what else do u expect?
"Olelo Ho'opa'i Make" deserves more than 3 stars! Granted, everyone has their own ideas as to what makes a great H5-0 episode! For me, it's usually the character-driven story lines. But every so often, we need an adrenalin-filled episode with guns, explosions, helicopters and riots to feed our collective thirst for all things bad a**! The return of SuperSEAL Steve in full, well, SuperSEAL mode, made me nostalgic for Season 1 all over again!
Loved Sang Min - may the mullet R.I.P. He'll pop back up again soon, I expect. DDK knocked it out of the ballpark. Kono and Adam are without a doubt the hottest couple on television at the moment - that bubbly bathtub scene? Could it get any hotter? But trouble is certainly on the horizon for those two! Really, Kamekona? Spam breakfast burritos? Ew. Looks to be a great episode tonight with the return of the gov and Danny's custody hearing finally airing!
Best thing of all last night was everyone getting to watch the episode together - #H50 O

I hated it. Too much rampant violence -- shooting first? double ugh and yes I know prisons are violent; that's why I prefer my own (nonviolent) life. Ugh. Now I know another way to dis someone. Thanks SO much [meant to be sarcastic]. An extremely implausible twist. Sicko. [More than usual.]
I did like the Sang Min evolution -- it made sense to me for him to double cross Chin to save himself at the crunch. Smart guy. I hope he appears again.
The girl -- sure, why not?
(Cont)over. Warden Grier I could see why he said what he did to keep 5-0 out, but will there be ramifications?
Chin held his own against the bigger Kaleo. Yes in the Laundry room he had help from Sang Min. I knew Chin would help Leilani against the 2 inmates. Kaleo stabbing Chin and Sang Min stopping him and saying use him for leverage was good, and the call would have gotten out the location of Chin. At the end it seems Leilani(BeverlyHills90210) is close to Chin. To soon?
Komekono's Breakfast buritto was fun to see.
Didn't hear at end if guards were ok, or anything, or is Warrick was arrested.
Also Kono being suspicious of Adam can't end well.
Good episode. Wonder if the special showing was scheduled from an earlier time this season that maybe the Sandy Hook incident pre- emted it?

This was 10 stars all the way!!! From start to finish I was on the edge of my seat. Sang Min didn't turn on Chin he was trying to save them both by his ruse. Sure he escaped but that's what he does and chin knew he didn't turn on him he tried to save him, but sadly only his mullet was left:) Why wouldn't Delano put him in jail, his brother believed he was dirty and he went to jail for being dirty...everyone knows cops don't do well in jail even in real life. Riots are just that riots, mass chaos that doesn't make sense and you have enough jailbird thugs they can over power anyone who is caught off guard. If you remember from season 1 only the tower guards are supposed to be armed to preven the convicts from becoming armed in just such a situation...see I pay attention:)
As for Kono and Adam I am torn, but remember the brother had her gun...who did he kill with it...hmmm. Peter Lenkov did say Chin would be in a dark place and he is delivering people just need to be patient, just

Yay - great ratings, thanks for posting Walter!!
Yahoo - LOVED seeing ANOTHER Baldwin brother step up to carry on their criminal ways.
Good episode - tons of action, like season 1. Always good to see Sang Min, love that guy, both good and evil. And speaking of good/evil, nice moment with Adam TILL Kono clones his phone. Hmmmm..
See you all tomorrow!

A question : Why thhis page give this episode a 3 and last week episode who I thought it was not that good it was given almost a 5? For me yesterdya episode was much better than last week and the reviews speak for themselves. Ok there were some fans that say that the prison mutiniy was totally unrealistic and they say how come Chin could not get a hands of some ward keys to escape. For me is that the scene was made that way in order for us to see Chin struggle more for his life and not have it that easy for him to escape. We had to see Chin trying to escape and use any means possible other than to open a door with a key, that way it give more time for the team to plan a way to help him, also. Also Chin did not know the way of the prison, San Ming did know so Chin was helpless there he could act as he was a cop, he just could not do it. About San Ming well you all know he is some kind of antoehr member of H50 to say it in a way, if he escaped is because im sure he will return at some po

It was to easy for Paul Delano(actor played a same style jerk in Cold case), and associate could get Chin. It was to easy to sneak him in prison to even with the help of dirty guard, C. Warrick. It was nice of Danny and Steve to subdue him. The shrink (DR.Harriette Palmer) surprised me. But it is nice to know he is still in mourning and grief. He should be. I hope it keeps on going. We talked a couple weeks ago about how he seemed happy, and it was kinda quick. I was worried Komekonas Copter would be damaged by the rioters. They used "nice" guns to not kill or maim, but in all that chaos I guess that is why they could get in and back out. Sang Min helping, then turning Chin in was typical. I thought though he would be taken to the Guard shack and one could sneak out a call. But now he snuck out as a guard. Will Kono track him down?

Overall a good episode. The rescue at prison was sorta lame. You had Chin who was about beaten to death and stabbed but yet he was able to fight the much bigger, much more physical and not beaten ex cop. Pretty lame. I've loved this show since the get go except for two characters. Don't care for Chins cousin. Not a very good actress and the guy who plays forensic guy. Worse character on the show. The female cop they should have kept was the blonde who was on there but now plays on Chicago Fire. Better actress than the female cop that stars on there now.

With a big lead in from football and against reruns H50 had it biggest ratings of the season with 13.6 million viewers to 4.0 for a Shark Tank rerun on ABC and a 2.7 for a Biggest Loser rerun on NBC. Also on Saturday a rerun of H50 (the one with James Caan and Dennis Miller) won its 9PM slot with 4.6 million to 2.4 for a Chicago Fire rerun on NBC 2.4 for a Will Ferrell movie Blades of Glory on ABC and 1.8 for a Kitchen Nightmare rerun on FOX.
Zia; Usually H50 comes back a week earlier than it did this year, the episode last night was supposed to air last week, so they are not ahead of schedule. Last year they had an episode Jan 2 then they were off for 2 weeks, had an epiosde Jan 16 the off for 2 weeks.

I thought this was a great, entertaining episode. I love the action and I do appreciate anytime the show gives a little focus to Chin and/or Kono. And, no surprise, DDK knocked it out of the park - he is really a joy to watch on TV. Sang Min is always fun - I think it is best to have him in doses - too much would be overwhelming. I wonder if we will see him again this season. Enjoyed Kamekona and Charlie and missed Max (although they really didnt need an ME. Happy to see Catherine in her uniform, but she was doing the same old thing as always, so that was a bit of a disappointment for me. Loved the team flying into the prison - no matter how improbable they are, I love those team moments, especially when they are being all BAMF together. Adam/Kono...hmmm, I am not sure how I feel about this development. I actually enjoy them together - he is a very interesting character and she needs someone really compelling to balance her - Charlie is sweet and cute, but man that would be boring to w
