    It's good news for TVD. The wheel-spinning in regards to the Originals is ridiculous.

    My answer is YES ... if Hayley is left out of the series. The actress is too annoying to watch.
    
    If the spinoff focused on the Originals and some new characters, that would have the potential to be pure win!

    I really do want a Klaus spinoff, but him leaving TVD will mean trouble for the show..
    With what Plec has done with it, Klaus pretty much remains the only attractive (in means of plot) character..
    This will not end well.

    yeah her intention was to kill him in season 3 yet she continued to keep him on because hes a fan favourite... but things got way too messy and theyre trying WAY too hard to keep him in the show ! itll be nice when TVD becomes more interesting and confusing again.

    Hm. Didn't like the character of hayley so that is a big no. On the other hand I do like Klaus. I'll wait fore the pilot...

    Shonda seems to be handling three shows all which have been producing good material, GA-is in top shape, PP-going end on good note, and Scandal-is too remarkable for words. Plec continues proven she can't run ish.
    I agree though what's the point of having the same show. The point of a spin off is to offer something the original does not which is why Angel and Fraser were a great spin offs. This feels like Joey. Also if it all depends on what Klaus we are getting if it bad ass, I don't care about Caroline Klaus then I'm in but if it that pony drawing or humming bird heart talking lame ass, I'll pass.

    I no longer trust Julie Plec either, it would be much better if she was not anywhere near this spinoff. I am so over the triangle and only watch for the originals (nowhere near enough Elijah or Kol, hopefully they would be co stars and on every week). Keep Stefan and Caroline in Mystic Falls.

    LOL. Matt says he trusts Plec. I would be much more relieved if I heard that she would be sticking to TVD and someone else entirely...say Joss Whedon (a girl can dream) would take over responsibilities for the Originals. Just ship off Stefan and Caroline to New Orleans as well, that way I can quit wasting my Thursday nights watching the Damon diaries. Can you imagine a show that had Klaus, Elijah, Kol, Rebecca with the occasional Stefan, Caroline AND Phoebe Tonkin....Magic. Let the grown ups leave the little teenagers to their idiotic love triangles and boring decade dances.
