NCIS: Renewed For Season 11!

by at . Comments

NCIS just keeps rolling on, and shows no signs of slowing in quality or popularity.

As such, it's officially been renewed for an 11th season by CBS, which agreed to terms on a contract extension with star and executive producer Mark Harmon, the network announced Friday.

"In a world gone niche, NCIS keeps getting bigger, and Mark Harmon continues to define the role of leading man on the #1 show on television," CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves said.

NCIS Cast on Walk of Fame

"NCIS is the type of franchise every company wants in today's global content ecosystem - high-quality storytelling that generates passionate viewers and drives revenue on every conceivable platform."

True, true and true.

A rarity in today's environment, NCIS' ratings have only grown since its 2003 premiere. NCIS Season 10 is has been the top-rated drama on television, averaging 21.48 million viewers.

Just last month, it delivered its second-largest audience ever with 22.86 million. The terms of Harmon's deal were not disclosed, but at this rate, Season 11 may not be the team's last.

How long can it keep this up? Time will tell, but congratulations to the cast, producers, writers and crew members for continually delivering such a quality product and for being recognized for it.

NCIS has been my family's favorite show since it's beginning, however due to Michael Weatherlys appeance on an abortion commercial mocking Jesus my family has decided this is not the show for us and will no longer watch, what a pity.

Please bring Ziva back. The show is not the same with the new person. I loved watching your show partly because of Zeva and now I am not as interested in it. Please bring her back. Where did she go???? I espcially loved when she uses the wrong English word. It helps the show tremendously.

I still love the show, But sorry I don't care for Bishop. There just is no chemistry between her and the other character's.`

I, too, was worried about how the loss of Ziva would impact the show. Count me as someone who LOVES the feel of NCIS this year. The writing is better, we are getting to see ALL of the characters interact, and Tony is back to being the smart, funny leader of the team. McGee, Palmer, Duckie and Abby have more than seconds-long lines. As for the new character - I like that she is not a team player. Ziva was terrible as a team player -and Emily is getting called on it. We will actually get to see what it is like for the full team to learn how to work with each other. Finally - I loved the cookie scene - it was reminiscent of last year's Christmas show with the tin of cookies where Palmer stood up to his FIL. Emily paid attention to what Gibbs didn't like and brought him something he WOULD like.

I so don't like the gal that replaced Cote... I have not watched the show starting this week she just doesn't have it. I feel I gave her a chance but she not the right gal, I have watched NCIS ever since it started but they made a bad choice here. Lost a viewer...

JUST WATCHED NCIS, HAVE WATCHED IT FOR YEARS SO i TRIED TO GIVE IT THE BENEFIT OF A DOUBT. BUT THIS IS AWFUL. i THOUGHT THE ZIVA REPLACEMENT WAS GOING TO BREAK OUT IN A CHORUS OF THE GOOD SHIP LOLLIPOP IN THE ELEVATOR. YUCK WHAT TRIPE. YOU HAD A GOOD COHESIVE GROUP OF CHARACTERS THAT PLAYED OFF THE MANY PERSONALITIES , BUT NOW IT LIMPS LIKE A CAR WITH ONLY 3 TIRES. WHAT IS NEXT? ARE THE BEAN COUNTERS GOING TO REPLACE THE GIBBS WITH CAPTAIN KANGAROO OR ABBY WITH LADY GAGA WITH PINK HAIR. I WILL NO LONGER WATCH, IT IS TOO PAINFUL TO WATCH A GOOD SHOW GO DOWN THE TUBES, MY FRIENDS HAVE ALREADY QUIETLY STOPPED WATCHING SO I GUESS I WILL JOIN THEM. I CAN STILL WATCH THE RERUNS AND MY KIDS ARE BUYING ME THE DVDS FOR CHRISTMAS. I ENJOYED THE PAST FEW YEARS. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?

I agree with so many of your other viewers. I do not like the new character, Bishop. I tried to give her a chance but it is too painful to watch. I no longer find the program at all interesting. Mark Harmon "Gibbs" can't seem to take his eyes off her for some reason. Is there a personal relationship between them? That would explain a lot. She is NOT a good actress. Who thinks she is? Her roll is way too dominate. Her opinion is asked for before the opinion of the rest of the cast who have been there all along. I wonder how the rest of the cast feel about that?

eeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuw you went from ziva to bimbet. Blended whiskey to watered down milk. I have watched from day one but this stinks at least ziva could act. this girl belongs in a third grade play

Let me begin by saying NCIS is my favorite show. However!
Although I felt it would be next to impossible to replace Ziva and knew no one would measure up to her, I am sorely disappointed with your choice. Ziva was very attractive, always interesting, clever, and on her game as to the part she played. Contrast her to the actress you chose as her replacement. If clever is making Gibbs and the team look dumb and befuddled...you have achieved our goal. She is not believable as a member of the team, which happens to be outstanding.

I'll be watching only repeats; your show needs ZIVA!!!! Replacing Ziva is like trying to replace Gibbs! NO!!!!

NCIS Quotes

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.

McGee: Rule number 70 - keep digging till you hit bottom.
Abby: McGee! There is no rule 70.
McGee: Well, I--
Abby: You just made up a rule. This McGibbs thing has really gone to your head. I don't even recognize you right now.
