No one ever really dies on this show, and I find Jeremy to be a very boring character. So even if he's supposedly dead, I really don't care. Agree about Tyler -- his departure was flat. And Shane needs to go asap (his storyline is just too convoluted and not very interesting). The only good scenes were Katherine's return, Rebecca snapping Stefan's neck, and Klaus seeing right thru Caroline (he knows her better than Tyler who she's supposed to be so madly in love with).

Hasnt Jeremy always been a hunter just waiting to be activiated...and if so, the gilbert ring should have never worked on him because he is supernatural? Does anyone else keep noticing holes in all these stories?!

Supernatural tied with TVD in the demo 1.0. Also had more total viewers. CW in trouble as this show is declining fast. With the new show coming I see even more fans leaving. BTW Jose Molina wrote last night's episode. That's right, same guy that brought us Trash And Ariel in Firefly. If he can't make this show good; I ask, who can? I like to see a reboot in the sense that we get more Sal Bro history............ Before this show is history...

--I think third sacrifice was back in 40s when that which in New Orleans told Damon to kill 12 people to ged rid of the sire bond.. That witch was doing black magic and maybe she was doing what Silas told her? It's a big coincidence that Damon had to kill 12 people, and for no reason, don't you think?
--Does anyone wonder how will Silas look now when he is awaken again? I didn't see him in promo for next week? And is he bringing dead with him? Or was that all a lie? That's all so confusing...
--Is Vaughn (the new hunter) going to be longer in the show? Or is he going to be killed soon?
--I don't know why Katherine stole the cure, I don't think she wants to become a human and make hybrids for Klaus with her doppelganger blood.. But I also think, if she wants to cure and kill Klaus- that's kinda stupid, cuz that's not really easy thing to do, she can't take down Klaus on her own.. But if not for Klaus, why is she doing all this Also confusing..

How the hell is Katherine working for Klaus ? I dont believe that scenario one bit !! ... I doubt Klaus has her on his speed dial.Same goes for Katherine.

Everyone really thinks Jeremy is dead? I really dont. I dont think his ring will bring him back to life because he is one of the 5 now, which means he is a supernatural being. But Katherine (vampire) bit him, then Silus snapped his neck and killed him. Sooo... didnt he have vamp blood in his system when he died? I dont remember hearing that members of the 5 couldnt become vampires. Thats my theory on that, unless I missed a detail somewhere.
And I think Katherine wants the cure so she can give it to Klaus, to redeem herself so she can stop running.
I dont know about Damon Stephan and Elena. I think there needs to be some sort of love drama going on again because its been a little stale for a while now. Elena sucks so I dont want her with either of them, but I think we all know thatll never happen. Its pretty much what the whole show revolves around.
I want Klaus and Caroline to hook up, mainly because weve never seen Klaus with anyone!! He would be hot in a sex scene!!

It's driving me a little nuts that people are saying "Silas can raise the dead!" Why? Because Shane said so? Because the ghosts that Silas uses to get people to do as he wants say so? Nope. I think that is a big fat lie. I also wonder about the Gilbert ring and if it still works on Jeremy. I honestly wished Bonnie would die because I can't stand her character arc right now. She's like a bad Willow rip-off waiting to happen. I wonder if Jeremy is the only person capable of stopping her from going evil? (I'd rather watch her as evil though, sounds very fun!) Saw Katherine coming a mile away... I'm a core shipper but I rather like Stefan/Rebekah. Too bad that's probably done. And regardless, I am interested in seeing a Klaroline ship happen. I don't watch this for amazingly realistic situations(vampires anyone?!?) but rather for the wonderful entertainment value. And most of the time, they don't disappoint!

Katherine wants to give the cure to Klaus in order to stop running from him...she'll agree to take it and she'll be the human Doppleganger that will allow him to create hybrids again.

well caroline needs to be with klaus that would Makes for a great story and I feel that Elena has to be with Damon that to me is true love.. Let Stephan find a new love or be with Rebecca.. Jeremy is alive...

That was 5/5 episode at last! It had it all! Katherine came back and ''kaboomed!''(3x09remember)them all! She stalked them-let them do all the work and stole the cure out of their hands.. and sacrificed poor Jer! The continue in this front will be magnificent and probably hilarious!
Poor Jeremy-it wasn't hust the death,but the way it happened and the impact this will have that schocked me!RIP he will be missed!
Klaus for once more,even in a cage,has proven to be the BOSS! Amazing scenes with both Accola and Trevino-JoMo was phenomenal! Also,we saw some Original siblings reconcilation kind of!
Stefan and Damon and Stefan and Elena were doing better for a change. Loved both of the brothers here! And lastly,Silas is awake! In what language will he threaten them? Aramaic? That should be fun! Again,great tvd!

Jeremy was wearing his ring when he died, so he's going to come back. I wanted to see more of Tyler and Hayley together, to push Caroline to Klaus. Sucks that Michael Trevino is gone again, love him! And Bonnie better not be dead, that would be lame.

Finally, Caroline and Tyler hold the least appeal for me but, that said, I'm not sure if he's coming back or really going or what the deal is... I want to see Klaus be redeemed in eyes of Caroline before he makes his exit to New Orleans.

I think that it's possible that she may want the cure so she could stop running from Klaus...even if she has to help him re-build an army of hybrids. Honestly, it's difficult to speculate on the motivation because seeing her was such a shock!
I think now that the focus will be on the following: Jeremy's death and the fall-out it causes for Elena, Bonnie (who is likely to freak out), and the rest...plus the consequences of raising Silas...the search for Katherine and the cure...the relationship implications of Damon's words to Elena/Rebekah's betrayal of Stefan/Klaus running Tyler out of town.

i think katherine wants to hand over the cure to klaus, so they'll finally make peace and she could stop running away from him. it's not like she can kill him because i think she's from his bloodline so that will kill her too, and also stefan and damon. and somehow, i've got a feeling that elijah is involved in this somehow. i can't really say that i was upset by jeremy's death. actually, i feel like the only ones keeping the show interesting for me lately are the originals, and well, two of them are dead, so thanks elena. we didn't even had the chance to meet finn and i was really starting to like kol, so jeremy had it coming from this perspective.

I think his death would be a catalyst for Elena to go dark, lose her a large portion of her humanity...pull away from both Damon and Stefan. Were Jeremy to die, she would TRULY have lost every last thread that ties her to her human life. That could lead to an interesting storyline.
I am a little unsure of where things are going with Katherine. I guess she must have been following them, lurking around for a while. As for the cure, I am not sure WHAT her motivation could be, but I don't really think she DOES like being a vampire at all. She became immortal out of necessity...

Though I hate to say it, there is a part of me that believes that Jeremy just might be dead. I know, I know..it's awful but I think Matt Richenthal just might be correct in saying that the ring won't work on a hunter...I don't remember for sure, but it's tickling at my brain that it might be true.
My reasons for thinking Jeremy might actually be dead are that he seems to have served much of his purpose on the show (besides more gratuitous shirtless goodness), and I am not sure where his character can go from here. I mean, the writers can probably think of something but....

This was one of the better episodes of TVD lately. The last few weeks have left me frustrated as wondering if I'm going to continue watching but I think this week pulled me back in. I'm so over Delena, mostly because she's been a whiney twat on the show lately. I'm all aboard the Klaroline ship so I think that has been keeping me going these past several weeks. Seeing Tyler on the run again makes me happy. I was surprised by the appearance of Katherine and I'm also left wondering what she wants the cure for. As for the death of Jeremy... I didn't see that one coming. I like is character (and all his shirtless scenes) and would hate for him to be dead dead. (I'm forgetting, does he still wear his ring or no?)

I think Jeremy is Dead. All the relatives of the vampires in Mystic Falls are dead. So now Elena is officially a vampire now because she has no living relatives. She is the last Gilbert. As anyone notice that all of the Founders children are vampires? I'm thinking Indian burial ground. As for Katherine I think she wants the cure for Elena. She doesn't like the competition. And probably because the doppelganger isn't supposeto be undead.Or if Elena takes the cure it will probably cure Katherine to. And I think she like being a vamp. It will probably be likeHarry Potter & voledermort neither can live while the other survive something to that nature.

I am almost sure that katherine is looking after her again, she wants the cure to kill klaus so she will be free. And Silas, is he so terrible, monstrous?

Jeremy can not be dead, he was wearing the ring, dosen't that still mean he will be fine? I also do not think they would kill off Elena's last family member.
I think Bonnie is the one that will end up dying.
I am sad to see Tyler go. I was actually upset about that.
I think maybe people did not take Shane too seriously so they did not think to ask him how many doses there was.
I also hope that Stefan now realizes that he can not trust Rebekah and no matter how hurt he is now that Elena is with Damon, he can still trust her.
I am glad Damon ended up being okay.
I predict that Klaus will sleep with Caroline, she will be distraught over Tyler.
