Thanks @estatica -- your appreciation for my little idea is very satisfying!

@Entwife That would be a great kiss! Jane initiates it? Check. Happens on impulse after life threatening situation? Check. Lisbon is wearing a gun? Check. Millions of shippers choking on popcorn? Check. The writers should listen to you! :D

@Abbsolute55 That ultimatum scene served several purposes, and I believe that amongst many things already mentioned here in the past, this was the most direct way of the writers to tell us that there are definitely romantic feelings between the two.

Being a shipper for so long, I tend to forget that many people still don't see them as a romantic couple and have only now started to wonder if there is more going on between them. I found some comments online after this episode where people are asking "Oh, are the writers trying to build a romantic thing between them?" as if this was something out of the blue. So yeah, it's an eye opener for many.

Maybe she wouldn't let the gun out of her hand, it would just make a noise when it touched the floor. I'll stop now.

  4. Entwife

Caution! Shipper alert!---->Okay so I had this little flash of maybe their first kiss. There's a shootout with a bad guy. Lisbon is on the floor shooting, Jane next to her. The bad guy's shots are hitting stuff near and over them, raining major debris. Jane, instead of his usual cowering, uses his body to cover her, not touching but kind of making a shell over her, She kills the bad guy and rolls over, gun still in hand, to get up before Jane can remove himself. Now they're fact to face and kind of tangled. Lock eyes of course. Jane makes the first move, gently pushing her gun arm down. She's still staring at him, lets the gun out of her hand when it touches the floor, clatter. Gentle kiss. He moves off of her, she gets gun to go check on dead perp. That's it. Woke up with that this morning. A little goofy, but I like it.

I think Lisbon's feelings for Jane and the fact that she couldn't conceal them to him makes her sad because she believes they contaminate the working relationship they're supposed to have. It's not compartmentalized anymore where they can be ignored. Maybe sad because she has them and can't act on them, sad because she wanted to keep them a secret and they're out, sad because her feelings being known to them both may and probably will change their working relationship. That's how I look at it anyway. My shipper is showing. :-)

@Abbsolute55 I contend that the "feelings" Jane has for Lorelei, since they don't involve liking her, etc., are more akin to pity and a certain attraction that automatically comes of having had decent sex with someone. The important part is that although he lied about it to her face at first, she didn't buy it and he came clean. Someone having feelings for the perp could, and in this case has, definitely affected the case. I loved the scene because Jane was unable to gloss over Lisbon's feelings for him, he stood silently in front of those feelings for almost two beats. It was awesome to me. They are learning how to be real partners, and it may be on multiple levels -- I hope so. Who knows what info may be important to a case? Partners have to come clean when there are issues. They're certainly not there yet, but Jane is starting to really try, and to submit himself to Lisbon's authority on the job when she insisted.

  7. Entwife

I mean I'm curious how Sean will present himself to Jane. Sorry.

  8. Entwife

@huisclothes Your idea about Sean the Psychic having knowledge about the Ellston farm is really good. It would be a natural way to bring some good information in. I'm very curious to see how he will present himself to Sean, if he will try to read him as a psychic and give us some juicy information that way. Because Jane says psychics are not real, period. So no matter how juicy it is, I will tend to first discount it and look for some other reason this encounter might be happening, because I know that's what Jane would be doing. Complicated, huh?

  9. mimi

huisclothes yes he stars in comedies, he did a movie with Diane Kruger not so long ago, in the same street, who knows, maybe one day simon will come here! Steven Spielberg was here too.. Belgium is good for taxes.. (cheaper) so a lot of people come here.

About Bosco, I agree with Kate, never had the feeling Lisbon ever loved him, not that way anyway..

Oh one more thing: does everyone think it's normal that Lisbon knew that Jane broke Lorelei out of prison, and with that almost killed himself in a fake car crash, and said nothing? Honestly I would really find the guy really sick..and as handsome and smart and charming as he is, I don't think I would still hang around with him!

oups sorry, the end of my comment is missing. I was saying:

But after his confession, what would be the reason to still be upset? (We see/know/feel she's sad but she shows Jane she's upset, as the official reason I mean). Do you think Jane understood the REAL reason why she looks upset?

Hi everyone! Wow, I've been missing 36 pages of litterature here! Hard to catch up! Well, I survived last week's episode, even though I really didn't like Jane's confession about having "some feelings" for Lorelei...This said, I tried to watch over and over again that scene (very intense actually!) and I still feel like I don't really understand Lisbon's reaction...

When she enters the room: okay, she's upset because he didn't tell her he was going there. Than, she was upset because he didn't try to stop Lorelei and he let her go. And then, big question, why is it soooo important to know wether or not Jane was lying about his feelings? I don't see what it would change to the case...I think it was just because she wanted to know if Jane had feelings or not. So the real thing isn't that he is lying (because he always lies) but that he has feelings for her.

But after his confession, what would be the reason to still be upset? (The official reason I mean...We see/know/feel she's sad

before i head off for bed, i will leave here my nightly crackpot theory. maybe sean barlow, the irish psychic from jane's past, will help jane by making a link between carnies and visualize. like perhaps sean traveled with a carnival that set up camp near elliston farm. and sean knows a lot about what went on there. anyway, do with it what you will. i'm hitting the sack.

@mimi danny boon. looked at his pictures. looks like a fun guy. he plays mostly in comedies? what is les chtis? you must be so excited especially if he was nice. maybe you can be an extra in the movie. my partner's daughter does extra work on tv show several times a week.

  15. mimi

also it was funny to see how they film stuff, we could see the image behind the camera, there wasn't a lot of people as no one realised they were big actors so no one stopped except for those living in the area. totally surreal.

  16. mimi

hi all, have to catch up with the comments
Huisclothes- it was Danny Boon, he's huge here and i've been a fan for years, he's so so adorable! and also Kad Merad, they made a film that had huge success "Bienvenus chez Les chtis", maybe you know..
very kind man, hope I'll bump into him again!

  17. Kate

Seeing all your comments about Bosco was interesting. I never, ever got the impression that Lisbon was in love with him, not even in the past. I think she knew how he felt - or at least had an inkling - but I don't think she returned them. Certainly not lovers - there didn't seem to be any of that slight awkwardness I'd expect from having that kind of a history that would've have no doubt been conducted in secret and probably would've ended badly. And I also think that Bosco wasn't the type of man to act upon his illicit feelings either, he seemed faithful to me, physically at least, which was why he only told her how he felt when he knew there wasn't any possible chance of consequences at the end. Just my take.

thanks km. i will definitely scratch his pointy velvet ear on your behalf.

  19. KM

I'm glad you are all enjoying the clip. The entire Bosco arc is one of my favorites.

Hugs to all. I'm off to doggie care and then to grab a few winks. Ear scratch to Nico (is that right?) for me, huisclothes. G'Night.

  20. bonaduz

Hi all! Just checking in quick before bed!
@Mimi - yes, who was the french actor you saw? You made me curious!
@KM and @Entwife - thank's for the links. I also really liked Bosco. And yes, Jane IS checking her out up and down! I missed that in previous viewings :-) Awsome still of Jane, I totally agree with you @huisclothes, entwife and KM! Nice picture to go to bed with...!
'Night... hope I have more time tomorrow to jump in.

@entwife and km i also think he's a little bemused at seeing this new side of her; this new piece of info. it adds another dimension to lisbon. bosco was obviously looking at her sexually so patrick tries it on for size.

  22. Entwife

still watching the end of that clip @KM. oh yeah, she's to his taste all right. so funny and so touching at the same time. okay, I'll stop posting about it.

  23. Entwife

wow @KM just reread your post with the video links and enlarged the no accounting for taste one so I could really watch Jane's face -- he is totally checking her out, up and down! I love it, so glad you posted it!

@entwife the shot is from the scene in minelli's office when jane and lisbon lose the red john case. makes me wish i had the whole series in front of me.

  25. Entwife

Oh yeah @rationalgal, I posted about that Jane family picture the other day. One of the first new things I noticed when my dvds finally came in late last week. It's a beautiful picture.
