I think we have anaylized this show so much, we are able to see things that the writer's and creator never expected us to see. We may be seeing the mistakes as well. So could it be possible that at certain times we notice their real emotions instead of the ones they want personified on the screen? I know that in certain episodes they seem to be better than usual or less then usual on screen and I have a tendcy to pick up on that. It would be comparable to being around someone you know really well who trys to hide something that is going on with them and you pick up on it. Even if they never tell you the truth. We have gone far passed being just your average viewer.

Hiusclothes, saw your post. There is a hand cuff key on the end of that pen, you can clearly see it.

I found this on a blog, it proves a lot of people don't see anything between them two

Am I the only one who doesn’t like this couple? I see them as best buds or bro & sis…but nothing more. Sorry…I just don’t see it.

That’s cool. Not everyone does :) But I encourage you to rewatch the seasons again to…

Amen to that. They are 70% responsible for me to become the strongest anti J/L. 30% because I don’t see it no matter how I look at it. I can easily ship Jane with ANYONE ELSE!

I'd love that Huisclothes, I rally want the 6th season to be different from the other seasons.
    Good night!

perhaps lisbon would find herself incorporating many of jane's skills into her work. maybe she's allowed to ask him questions by text and he replies but with rj watching him so he doesn't give any clues of where he is. would be great to make rj more sympathetic. and finding jane becomes their exclusive pursuit. we get to spend a lot of time with red john. what could be better. maybe red john has such an insight into the kiler mind, that he's amazingly helpful at finding killers. going to bed now. speak to you tomorrow. .

    hi all
Welcome Pahometowner! every theory is welcome too! I'm not fond of the theory that Patrick is RJ because like Huisclothes said it would be like sleeping with a man for years and realising he was a killer all that time. I think if they pull that out, I'll never watch TM again from that day. I'd be gutted to say the least.

Huisclothes, it would be fun if RJ caught Jane but what would the show look like? I mean the case of the week?

    @watcher. 'night.

@huisclothes- I hope we do get something clever and diabolical. We'll find out in the not too distant future. I'm off to sleep. Good night

@watcher we did get nothing from her but that handshake thing. but i grew to love her and her lovely demon smile and how she pulled patrick around by a little ring through his nose. and the fact that she made him sexual again. and she was perfectly cast.
i so hope a collective groan doesn't emerge from all our lips when they give us the big list-reducing clue in the finale. i want to gasp and think how clever and diabolical.

@huisclothes -I'm glad they killed Lorelei. I had issues with that story line, but I won't rehash them again. I couldn't stand her, and poor Lisbon has suffered enough because of her. I do agree they handled that whole thing badly. We got the only clue (the handshake) from her in episode 8. That's it? As much as they built that story up I really expected more. They missed an opportunity. Oh well, I'm still glad she's dead.

  11. Watcher

@huisclothes - I love your idea about RJ taking Patrick - the clubhouse roast beef dinner is the perfect touch! We've got to get you a job writing for them.

@watcher i'm still liking the idea of red john taking patrick and keeping him. most of each episode takes place at red john's....condo on a golf course. no, red john's palatial somewhere. patrick can't escape and is forced to participate in some rj style hi-jinks. some in which he almost is killed by lisbon who unknowingly shoots at him. also, every weekend, patrick has to put on a dinner jacket and eat that awful roast beef dinner with red john at the clubhouse.

@watcher checks and balances like the two houses of congress. i do think they are giving us way too little story. maybe they don't have that much? i wouldn't mind if we didn't make progress on rj if the stand-alones were better. but i will admit i will never leave the show. but i do feel like the frog who falls down the well. one inch up three inches down.
i hate that they killed lorelei. why? what was the point? what action will jane be compelled to take because of this? we wait all season for her to show up and she doesn't tell jane anything and red john offs her? like bart simpson says to homer when he reads to him from the raven, "twas the wind and nothing more." "ya know what would have been scarier than nothing? ANYTHING!"

  14. Watcher

I do remember that union song. And I can now imagine RJ in that golf cart. I have a feeling that image will stay with me now so thanks for that!

  15. Watcher

@husiclothes- I hear you - I'm one of the people that doesn't believe Lorelei fooled him in Crimson Hat after all. But I already kind of think they are idiots because they seem to ignore certain clues. At least it would mean we get progress every week in the story and it would break the pattern of get close and have everything fall apart leaving them at square one again. But they won't do that. The spoiler seems to indicate he will just have a slightly smaller list at the end of the season. I'll just have to see what we get in the finale. I don't expect much before then. I don't want to go. Somebody has to be here to criticize Jane when you lavish praise on him!!! LOL

@watcher "look for the smiley label when you are killing a boss, crook or spouse." 'member that union song?

@watcher just flashed on the image of rj owning a condo on a golf course and riding around in his cart all day.

  18. Watcher

@huisclothes - if he has to do it, he is going to give it his full effort. Even in retirement, the man takes pride in his work. The smiley brand means quality. No shoddy, made in China stuff will do.

  19. huisclothes
    Rank: Regular Character

@watcher i've been a real booster of the audience knowing stuff the characters don't. all great stories are about who knows what when. but the identity of rj would be tough to pull off. we might feel like jane and co were idiots. when you think about the fact that many on the site couldn't think about the idea that patrick could be fooled by lorelei in crimson hat, it might destroy the dynamic to have him not in on such an important joke.
    anyway, don't go.

  20. Watcher

@huisclothes-I feel like RJ is saying to Jane "well, i wanted to retire and devote my time to wine tasting, but if you insist on keeping the game going, I wouldn't want to disappoint you, so OK, let's play. But be careful what you ask for... "

  21. huisclothes
    Rank: Regular Character

@watcher maybe he does want to retire. he treated the panzer murder as a lark. he couldn't have seriously been angry at what panzer said, he just wanted to come out and play with patrick. certainly his stalking of darcy had the same quality. the wainwright murder was a taunt at the cbi and fbi -- and he knew wainwright had fired patrick and been a detractor of patrick within the cbi. lorelei's murder seems like the first in years where he's really put his heart into it. though she was arranged like the sleeping carny beauty for patrick's sake. he made it about the death of red john's and patrick jane's mistress.

  22. Watcher

@pahometowner - I think that would be a great ending, but I can't imagine CBS doing it. If this was on cable, absolutely. CBS is looking for safer endings. I expect we'll get a typical happy ending...Jane kills RJ, somehow does not go to prison, and is finally happy. the end.

  23. Watcher

I think the only way RJ would interest me for another season is if they revealed him to us in the season finale but didn't let Jane know. Then if in every episode, the very last scene would be a RJ scene showing us a glimpse of his life - interacting with minions, going about his business in his public life, showing us how he keeps tabs on Jane and team, etc. Similar to the Alexa Schultz/Kirkland scene in Red Dawn. Just one scene unrelated to the rest of the episode. That could interest me. But is they are just going to have one RJ dedicated episode out of every 5 or 6 that would bore me.

  24. huisclothes
    Rank: Regular Character

@pahometowner that is so intense i'm actually a little queasy just thinking about it. i think it's outside the tone of the series but that doesn't mean i'm not gonna think about it. it would really destroy all the wonderfulness that is patrick. i mean he would be ruined in retrospect. like living with a man you love and finding out he was a murderer the whole time.

  25. Watcher

@huisclothes - you're right - it is all centered around Jane. I really wouldn't call him a serial killer at this point. He is now just a criminal killing to cover up previous crimes. Seems he was serious about wanting to retire.
