How I Met Your Mother Season 9: Cristin Milioti Upped to Series Regular

From five-second cameo to series regular...

After her brief, albeit VERY memorable, guest-starring turn on the How I Met Your Mother Season 8 finale, Cristin Milioti has been promoted to series regular for the ninth and final season of this beloved CBS sitcom.

Cristin Milioti on HIMYM

As first reported by TV Line, Miloti's ascension marks the first time HIMYM has expanded its core roster beyond Josh Radnor, Alyson Hannigan, Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders and Jason Segel.

Look for her to play a critical role this fall, as How I Met Your Mother creators have said Season 9 will actually take place over the course of Barney and Robin's wedding. That ought to be interesting.

i actually think the whole 'spendin the entire season on the wedding' is a brilliant idea for the shhow. i mean after all the show is titled 'How I Met Your Mother' not "how i dated your mother' so for me,,perfect, cant wait!

Fifty

Why not. It's gonna be super-awesome.

Joyeful

Seriously? They're gonna do that - spend the WHOLE season on the wedding?!?

HIMYM Quotes

Barney: Ladies and gentlemen, I have in my hand a copy of tonight's Top Ten list. The category: top ten things I would've called my truck...
Ted: It was never your truck.
Barney: if Ted hadn't been a jerk and given it back.
Ted: It was a rental.
Barney: Number ten, "The Winne-Bango." Number nine, "The Pick-Up Truck." Number eight, "The Ford Explore Her." Number seven, "The You Scream Truck." You Scream. (they all laugh) Number six, "Feels on Wheels!" Hello! Number five, "The Ride Her Truck." Number four, "The 18-Squeeler." Number three, "The Esca-Laid." Number two, "The Slam-Boney." and... the number one thing I would've called my truck if Ted hadn't been a jerk and given it back... "The '69 Chevy."

Sometimes things have to fall apart to make way for better things...we're done here.
