Prepare for some animated awesomeness, Fox Fanatics.

The network announced today that The Simpsons will meet Family Guy for a special crossover event in the fall of 2014.

What can fans of both sitcoms expect from the episodes?

• Peter, Lois and company will visit Springfield, with the family patriarchs arguing the merits of Duff versus Pawtucket.
• Stewie will take to Bart's mischievous ways.
• Lisa will try (and try... and try...) to find a talent for Maggie.
• Marge and Lois will behave like total BFFs.

No air date has been announced for the crossover, but television fans all agree: it cannot come fast enough.
