Bones has cast its second major Season 9 role in as many days.

With Freddie Prinze. Jr. on board as a covert CIA Agent from Booth's past, Fox sources now confirm that Mather Zickel will appear on multiple episodes as a former priest who, as previously reported, will step in and help Booth with both his Pelant situation and his proposal situation.

Bones Season 9 kicks off on September 16.

At Comic-Con last week, producers Ian Toynton and Hart Hanson said Booth won't exactly be Mr. Popular among his friends and colleagues when the series returns, prompting him to reunite with both of the just-cast characters.
