The Mentalist Season 6: What We Hope to See

at . Comments

September 29th feels like it's a long way off. Mostly because it is. And as much as we enjoy summer, the cool breezes of autumn and our favorite shows returning with new episodes weigh heavy on our minds.

So since we have to wait another 80-plus days for the season premiere of The Mentalist, we decided to make a list.

Read on, TV Fanatics, and see if our hopes and dreams for The Mentalist Season 6 match yours. Vote for what you'd most like to see happen come fall and don't forget to share your thoughts and add anything we've missed in the comments below.

Jane's Wild West

Our Mentalist Season 6 Wish List:

The Big Reveal. Yes, we finally want to know Red John's true identity. It's been five seasons. It's about time we know.

A Love Interest for Cho. One that doesn't involve a hooker, a junkie, or any other type of criminal. Someone worthy of the character we've grown to love.

More Rigsby and Van Pelt. It took a long time for these two to find their way back to one another. We're hoping to see this couple stay happy for a while.

Jisbon. That's the shipper name for Jane and Lisbon for those not in the know. A Jane / Lisbon pairing has been hinted at and teased for five seasons. It's included an I love you from Patrick that he later side stepped and many doe eyed looks for Teresa. It's about time these two had an honest conversation about how they feel for one another.

A Kiss. For those of us who don't care about the talking and want a little more action, a real kiss between this dynamic duo would make us cheer.

Casual Time. Wouldn't it be great to see the entire team spend a little more time outside the CBI?

Real Danger for Our Core Team. Show creator Bruno Heller promised that Red John will be targeting closer to home this season. We're hoping that means RJ will go after someone on Jane's immediate team. Not that we want to see Lisbon, Cho, Rigsby, or Van Pelt die at the hands of the merciless serial killer…but having one of them in serious peril will have us glued to the screen.

YOUR turn: Pick the story you're most hoping for on The Mentalist Season 6...

@Creamy, I hope they don't kill him, we've spent all this time getting involved with this character, to kill him is just mean. I hope Heller doesn't kill Lisbon either or leave her pregnant. That really would be sad, cause you know the baby would look just like Jane. Thanks for the compliment! I am a huge fan of the show and I'm having fun too! I get to write and play around with story lines. Analyze and have philosophical discussions with fellow enthusiasts! What's not to like, I'm going to enjoy this until it's over. Everything about The Mentalist has absolutely entertained me. Everyone in our page has been great fun and very entertaining as well!

Ha ha @ani I had a lot of fun reading your comments!!!You're a real fan and deserve an award!I am with you on this: I won't watch anything similar for a long long time on TV.Elementary is not my cup of tea, don't like it, anyway even though the plots might be similar, the main character doesn't have Jane's charisma, and the female regular doesn't have Lisbon sweetness.I am afraid of the dramatics Heller might brig to the show in the end!!!Hope we'll not get that bitter taste in the end as rationalgal was saying. And by this I mean, maybe we'll get a death, Jane's mainly and all the others, including Lisbon will be left with full sadness(and maybe a baby?)....just saying!

After this show is over, I don't think we'll see another one like it for a long time. Television has become very junkie and they never take out their trash. They just put it on another channel. We have over 200 channels and there is never anything on. Why because most of it's garage. I mean can you see us discussing Honey Boo Boo or the Amish mafia! I think not! This show was the best ever on tv in my book and I'm glad I was a part of it! I will purchase all the seasons and lock them away for safe keeping. I won't watch them anymore because I've watched them so many times their playing in my head on automatic! I must say, I got my monies worth. I do hope there is a post discussion after the show to wrap things up. It's been a wild ride and well worth it!

@Rationalgal, after theorizing endlessly the notion that Red John wants to be friends with Jane, it get to be rather musing after awhile. Red John is a evil genius not a evil dummy. Well maybe a little bit but anyway, it's laughable to think that after you murder a man's family and torment him for ten years, that he might want to be your friend. Red John's egg has truly been scrambled!

Ani: Patience Grasshopper. Only 2 more weeks of reruns and then S6 starts. I'm sure it will give us lots to talk about, analyze, speculate about, get frustrated over, etc. Love the Smiling Faces lyrics! Yes, they are perfect for Red John. I watched part of Elementary this evening and the plot was so much like TM. The characters talked about how much alike Sherlock Holmes and his nemesis Moriarty were and how they should have been good friends. I almost expected to hear a handshake brought up. Holmes was also trying to protect a woman from Moriarty by getting her to leave for parts unknown until Holmes could capture Moriarty. I was almost an exact copy of the TM script.

Somethings gotten a hold of my heart, deep in my soul, making me want to fart!
Something's gotten into my life but cutting it's way through my life like a knife.
Turning me up, turning me down, making me smile and making me frown! YEAH, SOMETHING LIKE THAT ANYWAY! Meehhh, never mind!

Kumbya, my lord, Kumbya, oh lord, Kumbya! HUH? WHAT! I'm awake! Oh.......this? This song......? I'm just working on Red John's new theme song! It's the song he'll be singing right after he gets caught!

I found a song for Simon too! Here it is and it goes like this...... must have been a beautiful baby! You must have been a beautiful child!
Cause when you were only startin' to got to kindergarten, you must have drove the little girls wild!

Hey, can you see me! :) !
