The Simpsons to Kill Off Key Character on Season Premiere, Crossover with Futurama

by at .  Updated at . Comments

It is shaping up to be a very busy fall for Homer Simpson and company.

As previously reported, The Simpsons will kill off a main character this fall - and at the Fox panel at the Television Critics Association yesterday, producer Al Jean revealed that the death will take place on the September 29 season premiere.

The episode will be titled "Clown in the Dumps."

Simpsons/Family Guy

We also know, meanwhile, that this famous animated family will show up on the Family Guy season premiere (also airing September 28), but Jean teased yet another Simpsons-based crossover this weekend:

On November 9, cast members from Futurama will reprise their roles on The Simpsons. Those involved will include Billy West, John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal, Phil LaMarr, Lauren Tom, Maurice LaMarche, and Tress MacNeille.

Aptly titled “Simpsorama," this installment will find Bender traveling back in time to murder Bart because the latter does something in the present that has terrible consequences for the future.

Sounds about right, doesn't it?
