Might television's longest-running marriage be in serious trouble?

Executive Producer Al Jean told Variety this week that Homer and Marge Simpson will “legally separate” on an upcoming episode of the iconic sitcom.

For what possible reason?!?

"In the premiere, it's discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it's an incredible strain on the marriage," Jean teases. "Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who's voiced by Lena Dunham."

Jean says the episode will also feature cameos from other Girls cast members.

Also on the agenda for Season 27:

• Homer will vote in the 2016 Presidential Election.
• Lisa will befriend a homeless woman (voiced by Kate McKinnon) who turns out to be an incredible singer.
• Spider Pig and Sideshow Bob will return.
• An episode will be based on the movie Boyhood.
